NC Highway Patrol are they using something new?

Was on 540 today and saw the a state police car sitting in the medium. I wasn't going all that fast so of not a major concern but I only got a short Ka beep on my Valentine One unit then after I passed him I go got another short weak Ka beep. I thought this was odd. I heard there are new radar modes coming out, just wondering if anyone know if those have been rolled out here in NC.
If I am going to upgrade I want to make sure I get the one I need

Hemi Challenger? WOW. I bet that puppy puts you in the back seat on floor. 2SS here. It's always fun to see those guys before they see you. As a ham radio operator, I understand fully line of site and reflection of signals. If you ever have a half hour to kill find a speed trap and aim your car toward it while just sitting in a lot. It's a real learning experience you'll cherish!

As for "new gun modes" it's more likely your V1 is old (over 10 years). Try an updated V1 Gen 2, or better yet a Uniden R3 or 7. Either way, they're more sensitive and tuned to any new stuff.

Can't see the video, but guess a 35.5 low power pointed the other way with no reflections but it makes one wonder sometimes, happens rarely.

I want to know more about the HEMI Challenger?
