Well, I finally made the 795 give me a false VG-2 alert. I had all at once my V1,Bel 970, Bel 795 and my remodified Cobra rd-3100 RDD on and they all set off each other and I heard the VG-2 alert on the 795. Nice to see it works. Interesting sound it makes. Kind of looked like an old RS unit I had w/ the VG-2 feature on it. :D Mk
I bought my S2 from Montana and on my way back to Ontario somewhere on the road, all over sudden I got that VG2 alert, I looked around, no cops around, I remembered was a hospital around, I even forgot when it happened, I think it was a false alert but since then until now no such thing any more, no OPP or city cops using the VG2 RDDs any more...
I thought that bels were by design VG-2 immune and didn't have an alert. So do the 795 and the S2 work like the whislters where they detect VG2 and then shut down?
My 895 doesn't have an alert. And who cares if they are immune (except to let you know a cop is around)
My 970 is the same as your 985 w/ no VG-2 alert but immune to the VG-2 Interceptor. The 795 probably does alert then shut down but not sure asianfire? Mk
