On my commute home, I was heading down a long decline (several miles) into the valley. The 9500i alerted to Ka, have it in expert mode so don't know the frequency (Escort needs to work on that). I immediately noted the mileage on my speedometer and kept my eyes peeled. Well, two miles later I see a NYS Trooper with a non-paying customer on the other side of the road. He was helping change a flat tire. :D
You have a lot of water vapor over you in your area. I figure that you were detecting 34.7 Ka.

2 miles is a normal alert on the freeways around here. Again, humidity FTL! :D
Yeah, humidity sucks. Its a bit warm with noticeably higher humidity here in GA. All of my normal cold wintertime false alert distances have already shorted noticeably.

yeah, I get insane ka ranges here in arizona but we have close to 5% humidity year around
