M27 installation question

Hi, all. New guy here.

I just put an M27 in my GSR. I downloaded the latest BlinderUpdate1.1.23.msi and loaded USA 2.6 into the CPU. But when I got it into the vehicle and first turned it on (position ||) it did not appear do any downloading to the sensors - no repeated green flashing etc. Just two red flashes. I left it on for a long time, several minutes. Now when I turn it on I still get two red flashes. The parking mode works fine.

the older model used to have an initial time period where you could trigger it with a TV remote - I tried that and it does not go off. Does the M27 still do that?

Does it sound like this unit is functioning? How can I tell for sure?

Blinder is shipping them now with the software already uploaded into the heads.

You get two red flashes and beeps then solid green correct?

Downloads start pretty much immediately if and only if the ROM version in the heads is different from the version in the main unit. Two red flashes then solid green means you're good to go!

Now time to get them tested. Don't put a lot of faith in your install until you do.

OK, so how do I get them tested? This vehicle is in Houston...

There's a large group in that area that test quite regularly.

Do you have any advice on how to find them?

Also, the M25 used to have a test period where you could trigger an alarm by any TV remote. Is that gone in the M27?

Yes it's gone with the M27. You have the parking mode now to do the same thing.
