Corvette FAIL!!!!!

So here is a person I kno. He had a BMW Z4 (a 2007) and totaled it so he parents got him a 04' Vette. A super fast and expensive car for a 18 yr old IMHO. If i was driving a car capable of doing 0-60 in like 6 sec...I would want a nice detector. lol. He is running a Whistler 1630 or something like that? Can anyone confirm? Is LAYING on the dash not straight. lol. I just thought I was kinda funny for a well respected car.

i've seen porsche drivers using $50 cobras. even back when i was naive enough to get a cobra, i got a nicer one, not a $50 one. I had an XRS

yes, plenty of times! I can vouch not all Cobra's are garbage for straight line C/O, but when i bought my dad an RX65 last christmas, it made me realize what i was missing when it picked up signals around corners (just because it was more sensitive). Upgraded to 9500ix last month.

Radarbusters sells the XRS-9945 I believe, which was a "higher" one of the one i had lol

Yeah, a few of the more expensive Cobras are fine radar detectors. I still really like and use my 9960G quite often.

yeah, suprisingly, the cobra earned a lot of trust in the saves it gave me, but idk, occasionally toying with the RX65 made me jealous so i had to get a 9500ix. Better for a reason - pricier of course.

Whats weird is I don't trust my 9500ix to the level I used to trust my cobra after joining this forum lol. This forum awakens you to how lucky you really can be sometimes.

At least it's cool above the defroster. :)

I've seen lots of nice cars with cheap detectors like that... Some don't get it
