GREAT investment if you do a lot of highway driving.
My 1994 whistler 1250 served me well, but it's time to let it go. :D
I think I hear Taps playing somewhere. :lol:Quote:

Oh yeah? I've been playing with a Whistler Spectrum 1 recently... how old is that one?
I have one of those sitting in my closet. Mine's old enough that it doesn't power up.Quote:

The owner's manual says 1994.
Might work well as a "spectre jammer." Probably sets them off for miles.
I forgot but I still have my RoadPatrol XK from Radio Shack, Circa 1987 but it's buried deep in the closet. :)
Is it this one? :D

No, but very very close. Mine was all black and I'm pretty sure the "light, buzzer, both" switch was square and it also had a City/HWY button on it too. Perhaps your Micronta was even an earlier version yet.Quote:

Memories of days gone by.
Thought I was the only one who collected old radar detectors.
No, I have quite a collection too... (1) four whistler detectors one of which I have converted to an instant-on radar source. Another which I have plans to make a traffic radar with believe it or not..(2)(three Bell detectors)(3) A couple of unidens (4) two cobras (5) a V1Quote:

Those old Microntas look a LOT like early Snoopers...
