Ok ive got this V1 that im driving around with as some of you might know, lately its been Laser falsing off its a$$........... nothing in sight, I think its getting triggered by the sunlight bouncing off cars............... thoughts???????, I say its good to be sensitive, but theres a point where it has to stop
same thing with mine before i returned it. it would be okay in the sun, maybe a couple falses from taillights from a bus, etc. at night, it would false a lot, from practically every other car in front of me, even from traffic lights! :evil: :evil:
just send it in to VR, the laser sensors are probably out of tune.
It could be all those stupid cars and SUV with little avoidance sensors. Mine goes off everytime behind Chevy Trailblazers and Tahoe, plus all the Inifinitis and Lexus. And the remote on my Sirius Radio
You have to take the good with the bad. You either detect laser almost all of the time from almost every distance with the V1 or you don't get alerted to laser every time with every laser gun with all the other detectors.
Yea i was behind a newer Chevy on my way to work and it triggered LASER on three different times and it was immediately when they hit the brakes
Yeah, depending on where I mounted my V1, I'd get about 2 laser alerts a day if I happened to find it a must to drive through the city... outside the city I would get normally 2 a week.
It got to the point that where even if I did get an alert on laser, I wouldn't slow down as needed because I was so used to them.
When I mounted my V1 in the tint band though, it obviously cut all those falses down to one a week... if that, but then again it would hurt my sensativity to real police LIDAR use... not as that would matter much without a jammer anyways.
That's one thing I was worried about when I installed mine was the remote setting off laser on my Whistler Pro-73. Thankfully it doesn't.Quote:

one a couple of times over the years my V-1 falsed in the sunlight (after going through car wash or washing my windshield with my washer fluid and then going out in the sun.
a few other times with the new Lexus SUZV's with their laser-guided technology crap.
hmm ive never had any problems with mine so far. just send it in and have it checked its probably out of tune.
If its falsing when theres no ir or near ir light about ie falsing in the dark when its parked on the driveway then theres something wrong..
other than that if sunlight or any other ir light sorce neon brake lights or laser cruise control, then theres not much vr can do about it.
the falses come with sensitivity, you need sensitivity this high because laser is hard to detect.
the uk traffic masters cause falses on mine but i do ignore the laser alerts when i know there the traffic sensor are, and you have to be close to them for them to cause a false but even though its abit of a nusiance at least you know your v1 works....
plus it makes you look at you speedo when you hear it..
you could send it in but i think your wasting your time..

Most jammers do not alert to tv remote ,
Sti does not alert to remote ,
V-1 is better for scattering.
My V1 performed perfectly for a couple of years then all of the sudden I started getting laser falses all of the time. I found this forum, asked some questions and ultimately decided to send it back in for investigation. I was told it would likely be $40 for the repair, instead they fixed it and shipped it back with no charge. It took less than a week round trip.
Arashi brought my V1 back to me. I've sent it in with complaints of:
1. K band auto mute does not work. (known for .821)
2. Sensitvity on K band less than it used to be.
3. Increased number of laser falses.
They should have it by Wednesday. I'll report back here what they say/do, how much it costs, and when it comes back what version it is at. Arashi and I will test it out again and see if there's any noticeable difference.
detectors are gonna suffer even more in the near future. Audi came out with an SUV that has 4 K band radar sensors for side proximity. I think they tell the driver that there is a vehicle next to him. Infinity SUV has an always on laser rangefinder used for bringing the brake calipers closer when a hard braking situation is anticipated.
So the Audi will be a K band polluter and there are many cars that will shoot laser all over the place.
I can tell you that my Pro Park makes it false (the parking sensor).
I had false laser alerts from the rear constantly! Turns out the rear IR led was bad. I sent it in expecting to pay 40 bucks since I've had it for 5 years. And of course they fixed it no charge. They don't make detectors that stay in tune that long!Quote:
