Well I guess i am a new member and have a new detector coming. Do you think $75 for a Pro 58 is worth it, I heard it has the same per as the 73 Pro.

If its from amazon its going to be a refurb. and has no manufactures warranty. I would send it back without even opening it and get one from Roy and ....get a better model......ie. escort 8500, sti pro, rx65 or even a v1 they will give you an enormus gain in dectection range and many features.
That's a good price for the 58. Usually $20 more than that.Quote:

Also, at $160 mph, no RD will give you ample warning.

:P
you cant outrun a radio.
On back roads,I can easly out run a radio, I would never stay on the highway get off the first exit and weave though traffic,no cop will risk that at 130mph, sometimes I put mud on my plate too. i have burned many cops in my old days, but now i would just pull over-not as much fun though  My next Bike is the Famous R1 that can be easyly moded to do over 200mph - Ya I carry spike strips to fing at the fuzz too  A taste of there own medicine

Lol your the reason our insurance rates go up, not to mention a retard that buys a radar detector to drive recklessly. Your are solely the reason people that buy RDs are stereotyped.Quote:

I have a perfect riding record, I am just kidding to get your Goat up
The pro 58 should work just fine and give you plenty of detection maybe not at 160 mph. Yes you can outrun cops and radios I have seen it done and dont advise it because its plain stupid. If you get caught you will be in some deep s h i t. Plus you might be able to outrun a cop and radio but you cant outrun a gas station. Plus thats not what radar detectors are for anyway.
thats cause gas stations dont move :PQuote:

Nice price on that Whistler model. :D
Amazon has a great return policy, I am returning the whistler 58 and get a 1793SE ,but it will be fun trying it out. I wonder if the whistler war is good though amazon as i have heard bel war is no good at amazon. On second thought maybe the 58 is good enogh, but i will call whistler to find out if the 2 year war is good,if not it goes back for sure. Merry Christmas and may your Holidays be Radar and Lazor Free - :D
Dont some of the radar guns top out at 200 mph? By the time he heard you, you would be gone :)
Ha a Busa can do 220mph with a speed limited taken off and a R1 might even be able to do that too. Some nuts in two cars once where chased in two states in NY,there cars do 200mph and they never were caught,a motorcycle is much easy to hide then a big car. I got a Idea that should beat a Lazor gun on my R6. I will mount a whistler 560 right under the working ram air duct-thats right between the two closely spaced reflector lights, a cop would shoot his Lazor directly at that spot with a total unobstruted 560 would really pick up that Lazor and all I have to do is get some veil stuff on the reflectors to get me 2 seconds and I can jam on the brakes that are powerfull enogh to lift up the back wheel at 60mph,it just might work. They are a lot of local cops that use Lazor. The 560 is one of the few whistler that have a ear plug attachment that I would need to use to hear the Lazor warning. I wonder if you hit 200 the radar gun just might have a heart attack and not even register
hahahahaha so your telling me that if your going 200mph, and you get hit with "lazor", all you need to 2 seconds to slow down? First of all bud, your gonna need a jammer because veil will only help so much... Actually, i take that back, nothing is going to help you when your going 200mph... your a dumbassQuote:
