I've been waiting all evening! I am gonna check it out now. :D
very sexy, stalker seems like a tough gun to beat though
I WANT MINE NOWWWWWWWWWW!
Wish I had sound on my computer.
  You've been waiting a while huh?Quote:

You have a great install anyways REBinc. I'm still jealous. :wink:Quote:

I also really liked the laser alert tone which sounds kind of like a cell phone ringing. My STi's laser alert tone makes me want to wet my pants.
Roy, that huge flat chromed grille on your pickup truck is a grille from hell as far as laser reflections are concerned. Chrome has near 100% efficiency reflecting IR. It seems to me, as far as laser is concerned, that this grille is like having a bank of headlights on the front of your truck?
It looks like the laser jammers are pretty good, if you ask me. They are no LI, but if they can protect Radar Roy's truck with the monster grill, my car should be pretty good. The Stalker dominates it against that monster front grill, but my car has no chrome up front, so that should help me a lot. I have never seen a Stalker laser gun in Cali anyhow, just ULs and PLIIIs. So if it just about JTGs those two guns, I'm cool. 8)
Man, I stayed home on a Friday night waiting for this. What a loser geek**** I am!
looks great
I was scared with the front end that I would be eaten alive, but the ZR4 did real well!!!!!Quote:

As far as I know, the Spectre IV is just a Spectre III with a mute button. Not that it's used anymore that I know of, but you can bet that there is no way a VG-2 will find this if a Spectre can't.Quote:

well i guess its settled 1600$ later, this is exciting, any luck with escort shipping north of the boarder?Quote:

That truck is pretty stealth with Veil and black front end but damn that was good performance
My next car is going to have a concealed display detector in it. If the 9500ci is truly spectre and vg2 proof it might be my choice
OK, I guess 10 views of that video is probably enough! :?
If the preliminary info is correct, I wonder what Escort has done to improve the ZR4's performance so much over the ZR3s and basically every other LED based jammer out there. Any thoughts?
Well thus far it LOOKS as if the ZR4 is the KING of LED jammers. That is respectable performance without Veil for an LED jammer. Add Veil to that truck and now we are talking SOLID performance!
So the 9550ci does not have the A mode(speed sensitive) feature anymore for K and X bands that was available with the 9500i and instead came back with autoscan mode.
My humble suggestion to Escort is to have the option to just buy the 9500ci alone or buy the package with the shifters. My point is, some members may already have the ZR3 heads and others may not be able to afford the package price..
BTW, will the ZR3 heads work with the new 9500ci?

Is it me of was the ramp up not the best when it was demonstrated....
Maybe I am just used to my v1 with the ramp up on that since I haven't useds my v995 recently
Seems like they left out the 100% gradient.Quote:

I say this because IMO: We all know that its going to be a good performer on radar, the question is: How good? We already know its within the ranks of 'the top tier' though, what we really need is to see what the ZR4 can do. Its seems promising so far, but only extensive testing and video documentation will tell the tale whether or not its a worthy jammer.
i dugg it up ^_^
Heck, just Veiling that huge flat chrome grill would probably do wonders. :)Quote:

Compared to my STi-r it is much better, but it does fall somewhat flat at the end. around 3/4 signal strength it stays at that level to the full strength. it needs one more stage.
Other than that, i liked everything else about the 9500ci.
They give ample cord lengths for everything and some good mounting options.
In fact, up until now my favorite jammer mounting system was the mimics style of brackets.
Escort one upped them. the ratchet style brackets are very cool, and will make it easy for many. they do add some bulk to the sides though. they also include a flat style bracket with some tabs on it, making mounting a breeze, since you could screw or tape the bracket to whatever surface, and then slide the head in and screw it on, adjusting for whatever angle you want.
Also, the Shifters did well overall on Roy's big truck.
In all fairness, the first PL3 run was JTG CM. :)
wasn't sure how that hud run would turn out. i was using the flip video recorder, which is very cool, but i had trouble seeing the hud through it.
As for making a standalone 9500ci, i don't see them doing that for a few reasons.
The radar antenna does not have laser receivers in it. So they would either need to use the STi-r style antenna, or include receive only shifters, which at that point might as well just have the full shifters since you would be installing those units anyway.
Would you say that the 9500ci's rampup compares favorably to the SR7 up to 3/4 strength?Quote:

The Stalker is a tough gun, i'd like to shoot it on something smaller to see. it got kinda chewed up on his truck.
Yeah, no laser sensor, otherwise i may have considered it an option to my STi-r's.
Pretty much mount it anywhere you have a good line of sight, the higher the better. plastic won't affect it, and since it doesn't have any kind of laser receiver, it doesn't matter if it sits behind plastic.
Also the GPS antenna is separate, so you have a lot of options for mounting the antenna.
If you had somewhere above your RVM inside, i'd consider that as an option. (That's where my front STI-r antenna sits)

As you all know i have my RX75 antenna mounted behind my Mercury waterfall front grill and the antenna still performs like a charm.Even though i'm deployed,i still ask my wife,"How's the RX75 doing" and she replies,"Workin like a pro." :D
hrmm I got some velcro lying around, I just may remount todayQuote:
