Last I knew Amazon had them for around $270 with free shipping.
Most of the Amazon stores are NOT authorized dealers, if you purchase from any of them you're not going to have a warranty.
Also there are some other black market dealers that have been using the names of authorized dealers on auction sites. Be sure that they are the real deal before you waste your $$$.
If you have a link to this Crutchfield deal, please PM me and I can check it out.
Here is one Ebay/Amazon dealer that recently got busted:

They are an authorized deal, however again there have been black market dealers using the names of authorized dealers
I just posted on the Escort page.
Save your money and slow down. I have never been defeated by a radar detector.
Ever

Your repeated posts remind me of a kid in high school trying to convince his friends he scored or a criminal trying to sell an alibi.......Quote:

Didn't claim that you couldn't detect us. And if it slowed you down GOOD! Mission accomplished.Quote:

Works every time.
Actually i use my RD for the safety of all Officers. If they leave on there radar i will be warned that they are up ahead with someone pulled over. I will now be more alert and slow down, but so will the people behind me. This helps prevent road side accidents with traffic enforcement.

What you fail to realize is this: If you left your Radar gun on you could effectively slow down RD users for a longer period of time, then your instant-on bursts.Quote:

If you leave your radar gun constant-on, and the person picks you up from a 1.5miles away: You have effectively slowed that driver down for 1.5miles (giving them time to slow down gradually and move over slowly), and made him/her alert (aware) to a possible situation on a road ahead.
On the other hand: You can use instant on where you do not slow them down until the last instance: They will hit their brakes more aggressively. (creating a dangerous situation because of your instant on blast). You can either ticket them, which again there really is no proof that they won't speed right back up after that...
Basically the use of Instant-On is for the sole purpose of money making, it does not slow people down for any period of time, which should be your main goal in safety enforcement.
What you fail to realize is that the only way to slow some folks down is to hit them in the pocket.Quote:

yeah that really works all right :rolleyes:Quote:

What I find interesting is some of the videos. Not so much the static tests of jamming a radar gun, but the videos of those who have the camera running in the car and happen into a LIDAR trap...er...an officer doing speed enforcement using LIDAR. The person on the video jams them, passes through, then comes back to run the LIDAR again. It's like flying Iron Hand or Wild Weasel missions...er..without the missiles.Quote:

The $270 price was actually Amazon itself, not a "store". I don't mean to jump in your face, haha. I just don't want everyone thinking I'm an idiot and suggesting people buy from unauthorized sellers. I would never dream of it.
Wow, that's weird. You would think a highly reputable business selling them would be authorized? I guess I am a moron then? Disregard my posts in this thread, please. Sorry, Roy.
