Only set up like that I know of is Sealth One: www.stealthone.biz/#
but it is only for BMW's
That stealthone display for the BMW is awesome. Man, hopefully someone on here knows how to get something like that for the Infiniti. Thanks for the link!
yea keep this updated, Imma be buying a G35 within a year
does anybody know if u can just do it on an after market navigation screen like a kenwood KVT-819?
Unfortunately, I don't have access to any Infiniti vehicles.Quote:

swarga, your G37 is on the way. Seriously I wish you had access or lived closer to Georgia because I would really like to have this feature.
Dang that is sweet I got a g35 with nav you can beta on :) same platform and tech as the g37. Im more interested in the display screen between the speedo and revo. Already has a nifty red led screen.
Someone posted the V1 display on the Audi A4 screen a while ago.
Imagine if the nav screen could plot the location of the cop right on the map of your nav system? How much would you pay for a little black box that could do that??
Bluepole, that is even a better idea. Between the speedo and revo. Okay SWARGA, you need to get busy on this for us. I know you have the capability. In fact, I am a member of a couple of G37 websites and there are a lot of Cali owners. I am sure one of them would be willing to meet up with you for you to work some electronical magic. :):D:eek::cool:
I'd be all over a V1 display in an Infiniti nav or info screen!!!
Do you use the concealed display for the signals that the display interprets or do you wire directly into the v1?
Goodness, what I would do for this functionality. I just bought a new Honda Civic Si with the navigation screen and if it could display that with voice alerts like the built-in navigation has, I'd probably have to change my underpants.
The HUD One interface box (with an embedded microcontroller inside) plugs directly into the V1 - it's a complete replacement for the regular Concealed Display. Take a look at how the Stealth One connects and you'll see exactly how this works.
To do something similar for the Infiniti nav, a good place to start is the service manuals. Anyone have a copy?
I emailed Stealthone to see if there are any plans to make a product for Infiniti G's.
Yeah I emailed them over a week ago and still no response.
I had a Stealth one in my M3. Instead of displaying arrows it displayed F, S, or R for front, side and rear. I'd really prefer arrows. Plus, there's not too much difference in turning your head to look at the V1 or the Nav display. The remote display can be mounted closer to your line of sight so I would recommend the remote display rather than a nav display.
On some of the BMWs, 5 and 7 IIRC, the multifunction display below the speedometer/tach was used and it did show actual arrows vs. F, S, and R.
Thats why i like between the info screen over the nav screen. Thats one of the pluses for mounting the v1 near your visor is you can keep the volume down for passengers and still view the arrows without taking your eyes off the road.
We all would. Unfortunately, the displays built into most cars were never designed to be used as a V1 concealed display, so they aren't always capable of showing the proper symbols. For example, the Corvette HUD has a forward-pointing arrow, a backward-pointing arrow, an arrow that points left, and an arrow that points right - and they're all mutually-exclusive. If you have a front arrow showing and you tell the HUD to display a rear arrow, the rear arrow will overwrite the front arrow. Some cars, like your M3, have no arrow icons at all - only letters.
Sometimes you just gotta work with the tools you have - like MacGyver. :D
The big plus for me is that using one of the car's built-in displays as your Concealed Display makes the V1's display completely hidden - nobody can see it from outside the car, and even if a cop stops you and walks up to your side window and looks inside there's nothing for him to see (except maybe the V1 itself, but with the remote display plugged in the face of the V1 goes completely dark and looks like it's powered off). If you've installed it well and hidden the power cord away inside the windshield moulding, chances are he won't even notice it sitting there.Quote:

Of course, only you can decide whether these advantages have any value to you or not. :)
Check my signature for my cluster install :)
I think it's great and no one ever notices it until I point it out to them.
