went to Circuit City today just to checks out some rds and OMG

They were stocked up on cobras, I mean wow I havent seen that many cobras in my life. They had them hanging on the top and than had the beltronics on the bottom. Which dissapointed me. Cool thing is I didnt know that they carred rx65 in blue.

Cobra has such well known brand name recognition that everyone naturally assumes that their products are better. But we know better! :D

My Circuit City actually has more Bels than Cobras. Makes me happy.

I think Best Buy usually has a fair balance of real RDs vs Cobras (Does the Solo 2 count as a real RD?). I have always seen at least one of each model in stock at my old store.

CC is for profit and not performance in RD's. :D With the present economy status, lower prices increase sales and fact of the matter is, they do work against radar.

more cobras on the road could be a good thing for the rest of us. more rabbits, and cops won't try as hard to beat detectors.

Man i got to tell my clients that they shouldn't be spending so much money.

The worst part is because my industry uses so much steel all of our prices went up 20-25%. The amazing part is people keep spending money.

I know, I haven't noticed a difference here in people's
spending habits not to mention new home construction hasn't slowed one bit either.

Across the street from me they built 30 townhouses and most were sold before they were even finished. Same thing with the condo's next to my work, people are moving into them as fast as they build them. Those townhouses are going in mid 500's and the condos in the low 300's btw.

We've been looking into buying but housing prices in the area really haven't dropped that much, definately nothing like you hear in the news.


Then again its difficult to compare the DC metro area to the rest of VA.

A little exaggeration don't ya think? Recession, yes, depression no way:D

I just refinanced my home and it went up 10% in 2 years, plus my interest rate is 5.9%. No problems here, but i do live in the richest state in the country, Fairfield county CT, that might have something to do with it. :)

The funny part is i get all these guys *****ing about loosing millions in bonuses And they still make millions without it.

its good that people are still spending because that is going to help lift up our economy. but we aren't in a depression, after the first one people went crazy and thought of numerous countermeasures so it will never happen again. but we are though in a recession even no one likes to admit it
