Northeast Jammer Test - June 28, 2009

Hi. I just installed my Li Quad in my BMW 3 series (2 in front and 2 in the back). Actually I didn’t install them. I took it down the Audio Sounds shop in NH and they installed it. They said they have installed lots of jammers/shifters before.
I would like to test my setup so that I know if the heads need to be adjusted etc. I live in NH and work in Mass. Is there any testing going on pretty soon in NH, MA, ME, VT, CT? I really would appreciate if I am invited to such event. I will bring the Pizza and soda :)

I've been out of the loop for a while and haven't seen any threads on testing days in the NE. If you want your setup tested immediately, you may want to contact CrazyVolvoRob because I believe he is in Eastern Ma. You can also contact Suf Daddy but you may have to donate to the Suf Daddy foundation. <--Honestly, for the lidar knowledge alone, that would be a worthwhile investment. Good luck.

Ditto... any plans for tests in this neighborhood anytime this summer? I might get a jammer and it would be neat to run tests on it.

Sonny, where in NH do you live? (Based on your username, is it Hooksett?) I have a Pro Laser II and live in Manchester, maybe we could get together to run a test of your jammer sometime. There are other folks in the area with guns too, so I'm sure you'll find someone who can help you test your jammer.

P.S. I like BMW 3-series. ;) I have an Audi A4, so we're both into German cars. :D

Manchester hah. I thought I am the only one in the forum from this area. This is a great news. Lets wait till end of the week and see if anyone else responds (hopfully more people from the neighborhood with guns). I am guessing that Pro Laser II is the popular gun around here (reason why you have one). Is that a correct assumption? I have no clue on what they use around here.

If there was aCT one i might go. I don’t have a Jammer but may get one just to have some fun.

If it's in the next 2 weeks and it's within a couple of hours of Cheshire, CT I'll be there. A MA meet would be perfect. I can't offer a gun, but I have shot them several times. I can also bring a laptop to keep track of the shots and punchthroughs.

Actually, PL III is the most popular gun in NH. I have a PL II simply because they appear on eBay more often and for a lot cheaper than a III. Also, the II is harder to jam, so if your setup can jam the II it'll have no trouble with the III.

The II was actually made by Laser Atlanta. ;)

thanks for the info about the guns. How about Mass? do you know what is most common gun in the Mass? I work in Mass so I travel there 5 days a week. Besides PL II/III that would be another gun that I absolutely have to test my setup against.
I am thinking about getting in touch with Sur daddy and asking him what is the minimum donation he will accept for helping us out. I might also get in touch with CrazyVolvoRob and see he would be willing to help out.

Mass is mostly Ultralytes I think. Some places may also have Laser Atlanta, but I think that's more on the pike.

Personally I am not in Mass. At the moment I am not sure of my exact work schedule so I can't really set-up testing. And personally I don't feel like setting up testing at this moment. So someone else do the leg work tell me the dates and if I can show up I will.

I also find testing LI's extremely boring JTG and JFG :rolleyes:

Set-up the testing find the language and give me the dates and I will let you know if I am available. As of now I am not available the next two weekends.

According to SurfDaddy renting the guns is the best way to do this. Here is what he said:

Have done some testing before with Volvo Rob and the guys with my LI on my BMW 530I.

I'd be game to participate again. I'll pledge $50.00 toward the fund as long as we can set this up within the next month or so.

I recenly installed a 2nd LI that I got from Cliff (the man.. the legend : ). This one is on my wife's 330I Bimmer. I would not mnid a chance to verify its operation with a variety of guns. I agree with Rob that JTG/JFG is the norm with the LI (zzzzzzzzzzzzzz!) .. but it's always nice to test a new set up with a full compliment of guns... just to be sure ; )

Give PM me possible dates when you get more to the information. Also look for spots for testing I am not comfortable testing around where I am on a large scale as I live very close to a MA State Troopers and local Sheriff's departments

I'm in too on a meet to do testing. I am in the Boston area. Installed LI dual on my car a few months ago but never got the ball rolling on testing.

WOW this might actually happen. :) Up until yesterday I didnt think it is going to happen because there was only 3 or 4 of us. This is good. Now we need to find some members (in the neighborhood) with guns :D Whatever we can not find then we can rent. less rental less $$ we have to come up with.

Start talking dates so I can either say or not whether I am available or clear my schedule.

I'll bring my Laser Atlanta if I can come.

Someone reported there was a Pro III in MA somewhere.

Everyone should pick a date ASAP. I have requests for guns in July, etc........

So we need to start nailing down the date and place so that we can find out who can make it etc. THEN we can take inventory of any guns that anyone is brining. THEN we can start taking votes for any other guns that we want to add to list which we will have to rent. Please throw out some dates and place. Especially for those who have tight schedule

Can we make this anytime soon like the 20th of this month? I may be out of the country after the 26th

Most weekends work for me but I think the 20th is a touch early to get the guns organized and give time to get more guys signed up.

A location needs to get scouted preferably straight flat and out of the way.

The last time the local cops showed up to check out what was happening but they were cool with it... it could have gone another way and ruined the day.

Even though I am very anxious to get my setup tested I do have to agree with spankyaf. More time we give to members more members will signup and more chance of getting people with guns.

I say set a date and then see how many people can show up, and what guns Suf Daddy will have available. If it looks like a bust then you can try to resechedule.

People should start looking for a spot to test though I have exhausted the area around where I live searching for spots.:cool:

I was planning on doing some private testing since I didn't feel like organizing an event, but if this is a go I'm in with some money. Just let me know time and place, although for all I know I might be jammerless since I'll probably be doing work on my LI installed car. Actually now that I think of it I may switch it over to my worst case scenario car with epic amounts of driving lights.

Hints for location selection: One, find a rural area. Two, find an area where you can stage cars at a separate location from the shooting area. Although two random dudes with three LIDAR guns is a bit suspicious, it is less suspicious than all that along with a bunch of sporty looking cars. Three, don't worry too much about remoteness, I think everyone here is willing to drive a ways. Four, Google Earth is your friend, use the distance measuring tool to find a 1500ft+ location.

Where in NH? That might be a bit of a drive for me:( My limit is 2.5hours one way

I think I might have found a possible location but it being 2 hours from me I have no way to scope it out but it seems tobe in the middle of no where and has a decently straight road

Lets just say that the area that I am going to search for would be between 30-50 miles from the Mass border. BUT I am Ok if you guys are not interested in NH. I am willing to go wherever everyone agrees.

I won't be able to make it if it's in NH. MA, RI, CT, or lower NY I am a go for.

I'd pledge $25 for guns.

We shouldn't say in this thread just save the location to your favorites and look for something else.

NH is close to a 3 hour drive to the border for me and I would like my weekend to still be a weekend. Central MA will probably be the closest to everyone and be the best central meeting spot. Its 2 hours from me but I would make the drive

maybe we should find out were everyone will be traveling from and then choose a spot somewhere in the middle. Is this possible? I Live in NH about 45 minutes from Mass border. We also should nail down the day. 27th OR 28th???

I vote for Central Mass for place and 28th of Jun for date.
