I would like to see video proof with Roys spectre that it is invisible!!!
Oh Santa Roy can we verify this in time for xmas??Quote:

so whats this got on the V1? invisibility? doesnt the V1 already use the same casing?
Looking at it it looks to be similar to the RX65 but with stealth. I wonder how it performs compared to the RX65/X50... and if it detects laser better then those two.
Great package and some new features. Kind of wondering if they will add the new features to the X50 and keep the expert mode feature.
I cant wait to see this unit go head to head with V1. Spectre invisibility is a must but how does the lastest tech stack up against V1.
Hey GOL's your next project??
nice, but no ku detection?
Roy,
When will you have a review of this?
Wow! that thing comes with all the goodies!!
The STi comes complete with a comprehensive owner's manual with quick reference card, quick-release windshield mount with suction cups, coiled SmartPlug™ lighter adapter, amplified 12-volt speaker, direct wire SmartPlug™ and a durable hard-shell metal travel case.
Yeah, I am surprised that is doesn't have Ku detection seeing how Ku will be used in the US next year.Quote:

Dammit! I found that link accidentally, I log onto www.radardetector.net, go to the Bel forum, see "look what I found" and it's the same damn link! :x
$450!!
But it does come with a cool case... though I think I have to say I preferred the RX65 style, people think you have a disassembled sniper rifle in there or something.
Well if it does what she says, I still need one 8)
Expensive yes but it it is invisible to spectre and has decent detection, it might be worth itQuote:

Holy carp, $450???
Oh yeah... it's just that I need to see some performance data on this sucker before plonking down the cash - if they were selling at $350 I'd just go and buy it. But now, the V1 monster is getting more attractive 8)Quote:

WHAT!! $450!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think i'll stick with my V1 and wont have to worry about buying a whole new detector every few months :D
They could only charge $390 and make the external speaker and the direct smart cord optional and I think they would sell a lot more units. In addition, if the sti’s radar range is superior to the top-3 detectors and had the same laser detection as the X-50 I would buy one. I cannot wait to see the testing on this detector hopefully it is not disappointing.
They could have asked $790 for that !!!! - in my opinion and it wouldn't be even expensive.Quote:

yeah i reckon the speaker is a waste of money, the thing is lound enough anyway, people hear mine going off now if i have my window down...maybee i should mount the speaker in the grille so the LEO can hear me and he will know his radar is working properly when he hears my detector from 1000feet away.
Ku would be good over here, incase they allow that band in Australia for speed detection use (currently not a authorised frequency) , So it doesn't really worry me if it ain't got it,as we have Ka band here, But they are currently having many issues with it's use so at the moment Ku isn't a hassle, Perhaps Ku band is a problem for Lo leakage and thats why they haven't got it in the Stealth?
From what I understand, it is highly possible that the design of the new unit prevents it from even being capable of detecting Ku band, which might be why it doesn't have that feature.
Just speculation though :)
Heard from BEL again.
They will be moving if off-line soon
its peaked my interest. however the price and no KU Ill stick to my rx65 until I see great test results or something conclusively special..
I love my RX65! hands down #1
They must watch this forum :wink:Quote:

Just been checking InfoAust ,website, Roy had this interesting Update??
Update from Beltronics Sept 2005. Ready to test new Bel unit for Stealth progress. Test result a fail!
And this one:
New technology implemented by ARDS has led to a Spectre/Stalcar immune wide band radar detector! Stealth Micro Systems has increased its sweep by 100mhz in the latest Stalcar/Spectre RDD! We have discovered SMS major flaw in its RDD which will lead to its downfall! Had to come!
Roy can you enlighten ?
the guy who is screwing with us!Quote:

There hasn't even been a Ku gun purposed...it's way off I am more worried about POP than Ku....Ku would be such a easy frequency to detectQuote:
