I was on the net, came across a test redline vs v1. The results where redline beat vw all way around. Is this true.
Does redline have 2 antanna like v1

I own both. IMHO the V1 and RL are about the same on X and K bands. The RL is quite a bit better with off-axis 35.5 Ka and slightly better with off-axis 34.7 Ka.
The RL does have two antennas, but they are both forward facing. One is for X band, and the other is for K and Ka band.
The dual antenna setup is probably part of the Spectre immunity design.

I've owned both. The only reasons I sold my V1 is because 1. I live in VA. 2. Spectre. I run a RL now and it's a top notch RD. They're both awesome RDs. I miss the V1 arrows but the RL has better band distinctions, display and voice alerts. So you give a little to get a little. You can't really go wrong with either except if you need immunity from the Spectre. I'm still waiting on some flat highways to see what the RL will do with CO. I'm going to Miami here in a couple of weeks and I guess I'll find out then. -Va
Search the forum, this has been discussed A LOT already
It depends.
Where do you live? If in a province in Canada where RDs are illegal or in VA (or if you travel here frequently), then probably a Redline as they can't be detected.
Do you drive mostly highways, or just around town?
I also own both now, but only had the Redline for a day so can't post a good comparison of the 2 yet. The V1 has not let down in the 2 years I have owned it though.
Yes it has 2 antennas too, 1 for X band and one for K/KA, but both are facing forward. Where the V1 has one antenna in the front and one in the rear that detects X/K/KA.
The RedLines duel antennas are for stealth and sensitivity, where the V1's 2 antennas are for the directional arrows and rear additional sensitivity.
What is axis mean stand for? Or do
go with a V-1
use the extra $100 to lavish some female with carnal bribes
impress her with the arrows
I own both and I would choose the V1.
It really depends on your area, the threats, and the type of roads you drive. I love my V1, but just got the redline. I am extremely impressed with the Redline on 35.5 Ka. I travel on back roads a lot that are curvy and hilly with 35.5 Ka the primary threat. My V1 would give barely give me enough notice to slow down. I can't believe how sensitive the Redline is for Ka 35.5. I'm picking up a signal and expecting to run into the LEO almost immediately but I'm getting a much longer warning.
For K band, I haven't noticed much of a difference. I do miss the arrows on the V1, but I'll be running the V1 on the highway and I think the arrows help more there then in town.
There is more to effective detection than just sensitivity. Response time and ramp-up are among such things that you should consider. Do a search for this on the forum to learn about it before making your decision.
I own both. For around town driving I use the v1 becuase of the easy bogey counter and arrows. On the highway I use the Redline. Overall I think i like the v1 better but the freq display and easier to see display of bands is cool for the Redline. I'm just waiting for the combination of the 2 to come out. I would vote v1 if I were you.
I see that he went with the V1 you can't go wrong with either.
