72 in a 65, com'n
Anyways, looks like the popo are about to get their asses handed to them!
DVR is set.
I'm watching that show on Thursday! I saw some Kustom Golden Eagle action in the trailer as well. That's one nasty radar unit ;)
Hilarious. I guess HPD has lowered their tolerance level for speeders. Gotta generate revenue somehow :pQuote:
I locked you at 72 in a 65. What's the rush?!?
First segment just aired. Turns out P7 officers don't even have tuning forks to test their radar. They had no idea how to test their lidar other than push the self test button. It is getting good! Nest segment airs tomorrow night.
Yea, it was so nice to see them educating the public. Tomorrow should be interesting.
Also interesting is the amount of news articles hitting the net this month concerning automated enforcement practices. If you do a google news search for 'speed cameras' or 'red light cameras' and bound the search to the last 30 days it is amaizing how may cities have the issue up on the Nov 2 ballot.
Way to go people, seems that libertarianism is still alive in our country.
:( I missed it. Did anyone record it?
I have it, but I have no clue how to rip it from the DVR. Guess I could video it eh?
Is this it?
Isn't this guy the head of SML?:(

I will look into that. Here is something to get you started on the series: http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?se...ver&id=7749902
:D Thanks. Deputy J West is hilarious:
-----Quote:
So anything over 65 is considered speeding
Reporter: Do you think it’s a problem that you guys don’t have tuning forks?
Deputy: I um........ I feel that the devices work efficiently... At least the laser works efficiently without the tuning forks.
Uverse video is encripted, will have to video it and post a little bit later; then you will really laugh at that quote when you see it. Kind of like lying under oath if you ask me.
It also kinda reminds me of all those cities that claim cameras are all about driver safety, but when they get owned by the voters or the courts and they have to stop using the cameras they insist that "all fines issued before that date are valid and must be paid!!!"..."but its not about the money...really"...YOU LIE!!!...hmmm now where have I heard that before....oh yea...:-)
It's all about the revenue. I find it both sad and hilarious at the same time when PDs and other agencies try to convince citizens that their traffic enforcement programs are only about public safety not revenue/quotas. They get very creative with their excuses  Yea, we have a constable or sheriff stationed at that location every day because there is a "high volume of accidents at that location" not because the speed limit all of a sudden drops from 55 to 35...
I just watched the video again and I swear that Deputy J West was smiling while he turned his head after he answered the question about his department not having tuning forks (2:33 in the video). LOL and these are the guys that are in charge of keeping our roads safe...
Oh yea, they posted the video now. Saved me some work. Nice...
Put the video on vimeo. Youtube will delete it due to copyright infringement
Btw, wtf is up with the tags on this thread?
Obviously someone with an odd sense of humor. IDK
I bet you put the tea bag there hahaha
Yes sir
WOW! Part two was very embarassing for the HPD. Uncertified equipment and LEO's. The Pct. that they covered in the begining of part II issued over 4 million dollars in speeding violations by patrol alone (if you do the math). Imagine what the cameras are raking in. Next segment is Sunday at 10.
:D Hehe, good ole Phil Camus. I've went against his Pct. 5 Constables many times. No threat intended but the deputy lady with the Ultralyte is going to get run over some day if she keeps stepping out into the middle of the road to pull speeders over...
As far as I'm concerned, reporter Wayne Dolcefino is a freaking hero for doing this whole report. It's a real shame that a news reporter though had to do all the whistle blowing to make everything right. Just goes to show that there's corruption in Houston area traffic enforcement and that the chief deputies/police chiefs don't really care as long as the revenue is flowing in
LOL, that was awesome the HPD look like total clowns.
Wow, this is a very good thread.I'm glad I came across this one.LOL are they going to air more videos? If they do please post them.
Sunday @ 10
Anybody know where i can watch the second show from friday night?
Nevermind i found it...
Just got in from out of town. DVR was set so I can harvest all the storys & put them together. It will be crude with a Cam corder off the screen but that is the best I know how to do.
Part III was pretty good. It spotlighted two areas in town that are ticketed the most, and that one officer in particular had given out over 10,000 tickets (>$1,000,000). The equally disgusting part was how they were exposed for heavy enforcement in areas where no citizens had complained and there were no accidents to speak of. How they can claim to be doing it all in the name of safety while spending so much time in one location vs. spreading it out is proof that nobody really cares. People need to wake up and protest this crap. Depressing.
