Big Test for the Northeast
Well since summer is coming up it means that it's time to get all my gear in order. I don't know about you, but I have the most lidar encounters during the summer.
Anyway I would like to get a big test group together for the weekend of the March 19th. I propose a location in either CT or in Long Island. Although I have been a member on here for a while I have only ever been to one test, and that's just not cool.
I've got a LTI Marksman I can bring and think it would be great if we could get a large group together.
SO:
1) Who can make it the weekend of the 19th?
2) If you can is a test in Long Island or CT better for you?
3) What Lidar Units do you own, if any?
*NOTE* Do not recommend specific testing locations in this thread, those will be discussed via PM where our information is less public.

I'm available that weekend. Both CT and LI sucks for me to get too, so if it must be one of those two locations, I dont care. We could hold it in NJ if its a more central location for everyone. Lets see how others feel.

Well I know that we have had good tests in both LI and CT and I could be in either one of those places next week. I don't think I will be keen on a NJ test.

Man if this could be done 1 weekend later I would be in for sure.
I should be getting my car back right around then but timing is iffy at the moment and I probably won't have the necessary hardware installed even if I have it back in time.

Yeah it's hard to get a time that works for everyone. People in the past have come to meets even without countermeasures just for the fun; so that may be an option if you like.

I would be down for that for sure, if for nothing else than to get an idea of setups, etc. and to meet some locals on here :cool:
All I've got in my old car is a v1-we can see how quick my reaction time is with my left foot jammer I guess lol.

CT would be perfect, and I would be able to attend and bring my toys. It would be ballin if Rob could be in attendance as well

I talked to radarrob today and he said he would most likely go this weekend as well. Depends on if his gf has something planned or not.

Thanks, the Z has the V1 and the G has the 9500ix... hoping to slap on some LI Duals to the Z though which is what I'd bring out.

Any idea whether this is going down in CT or LI? Pretty busy this weekend but may be able to make it if on LI mainly to see setups.
Got an m47 ready to go on my front after paint is cured and clearbra is on (car is in storage so no rockchips), but would like to see some action to get a feel for everything even if I just drop by in my beater.

I sent the OP a pm asking him but he hasnt' gotten back to me yet. Last log on was last night, so hopefully he'll log on tonight and let us know. I'm down for either location.

Hey all,
Sorry I've been MIA, but the nuke fears of Japan have had my full attention the past couple days.
Anyway I am think that CT is the best bet for this thing. It seems that there is a decent amount of interest. I am in the New Haven area, but I don't know if any good tests sites around here. There is a test area in South Glastonbury that I'v been to before, but it's far from me so I am open to other option. I just want a place where we can test in peace you know... Anyway PM me if you have test location idea in CT, please don't post them here.
Also it seems like mid day on Saturday might be the best time for most, and that works for me.

Hopefully rob is able to come out as well. I told him I'd be willing to drive him up. If he comes, we'll have all the guns we need plus what Carter has.

Carter must have a much better idea for a location than I do. Are we looking for a low traffic road or more of a parking lot sort of thing?

Doesn't matter to me. Can we get a CONFIRMED list going?

still don't know if I can make it or not. Guys, Please have a location or 2 ready for testing. We do not want to show up and then driving around looking for a spot to test.
If this is too short of a notice, cancel it and then mark it for a future date. Easier that way than doing the 'hurry up shuffle' in finding a place and whatnot.

There's already a location picked out by the OP. We just dont know where it is yet.
