My Mustang install complete- STIR with LI quad

I spent two days on the install and a bunch of time making sure the LI was level and pointing straight ahead. You cant tell from the photos but the bubbles on the LI heads are in front of the hood lip when looking from the top down. Notice how the radar is between the fogs, Let me know what you think.

Great install. Do you see a lot of enforcement in AK?

What's that toggle switch and knob for next to the shifter? I know the rocker switch is for the LI.

Not a lot of laser but already was hit with KA IO, probaly had 40 seconds of warning from the STIR. The leo was around a corner and over a hill when i started picking him up IO other traffic, was impressed with the range.
The knob and switch controls my jl audio 500/1 sub amp, the knob is base control and i use the switch to turn it on and off as the factory sound has no remote turn on wire I could find.

I would lower the LI front heads 2-3inches. they are awfully far from your license plate

Thanks for all the compliments, makes all the effort i put in on the install well worth it. As far as the front heads i debated going middle grill and lower grill but after taking some measurements i thought this would give full coverage and still blend with the car. I appreciate the drawing above, shows me that a center plate hit may be a weak spot, maybe ill move the plate up instead lol :cool:

Maybe, perhaps, probably. I'm no expert but still think the point crazyVOLVOrob offered was a good one. If hirevn is JTG great! But let's wait for results before we assume he's bulletproof. If his results are lower than expected, then he'd be looking for optimal placement, which is going to be lower and a smidge closer together I humbly suggest. I placed my heads using that circle method and managed JTG both headlights and something like 50 feet center mass against the Stalker. Yet to test against other guns, but feel pretty good about the placement method. The fact that my tiny weakness was center mass actually validates that circle theory. If I had placed higher than I did I would have perhaps been even worse on center mass. I predict hirevn's weakness (if any) will be center mass rather than his mirrors.

Thanks again for all the comments, At this time I have no way to check the system and for now anyway i will leave the heads alone. One of the reasons i placed them there was an email i got back from Laser interseptor themselfs with a couple pictures of installs on mustangs. I sent him a pic of another car with the grill i have and thats were he drew the lines on the grill for placement. After thinking about it now though i do beleave that car did not have a plate in front so maybe thats the reason this area of the grill was suggested. Maybe i should bye one of the hideaway front plate kits that with a push of a key fob button it relocates itself to under the car for highway driving.

I agree. Heads should probably be a little lower. This is just my humble opinion. Regardless, the install is sick! Loved the inside pics as much as the outside ones. Also, does the display look tilted to anyone else or is it just the way the pic was taken. Probably the way the pic was taken seeing as how he took a lot of time to get it right.

I was leaning in the car to take the pics but the display is straight in person. I used a stright edge, level and calipers to make sure before cutting the hole.
