I wouldnt say so, I think it would be better for it to have more of a tunnel vision then a wide eye. I say this because radar can not register speed from the sides, so whats the point of catching an officer a mile back that is on a Y course, and you are on an X course.
Even then, tunnel vision would still alert, but not from such a distance, and it would cut back on detecting doors :)
