This is the latest ad from Motor Tend magazine!! November 2015 issue; The unit is 649.95 and is shipping mid October 2015.

For some reason I can't open that image, I can only see the thumbnail.

I decided to chat with Escort about it and they mentioned that the ad shouldn't be out yet, but told me that it's like a Max2 with a rear antenna and arrows.
Then they took my info for a preorder. I'll be pitting it up against my V1 when it ships!

That being the case, it looks like the arrows aren't gimmicky at all.

Having just purchased the Passport Max 2 on Sept 7th I would be tad upset if it was known this was coming out with arrows or whatever 3 weeks or so later. $600+ is far too much to pay for that. I will stick to the Max 2 and the V1. plus the escort live app and the valentine app.

Roy, can we expect this detector to out perform the V1 for around the curve/off axis range? I own a V1, but returned my original Max after experiencing awful range compared to my V1. I wanted to like the Max, but it just wasn't for me, because at the end of the day its not about the looks, features or usability to me. Its about the performance. Thats it. Not to mention off axis was rather disappointing on the max. But i have high hopes for the 360, and i cant wait until it comes out! Its all i ever wanted in a radar detector.

Well it would be nice if Escort would come out with a dual antenna Redline, that would solve your concerns. But I don't expect that to happen anytime soon Nate. Unofficially for now they are calling the new antenna on the Max 360 a M6 and I suspect that its the same M5 used on the Max/Max2.

Just will not know for sure until someone opens the case and does some real world driving

Well the redline is already in the same (for the most part) range as V1 and Max. (my experience, the max range was far less than the V1 but in other online independent tests, the max was up to par which boggles my mind). When it comes to off axis, V1 and redline kill the max. So I was hoping that this 360 was atleast the range as the redline and since it has dual horns, just as good off axis. With new 2015 technology I couldn't see why they didn't make it surpass the redline in ALL tests. But I guess we will find out.

Hmm well looks like i will need to buy one and do some testing. Have some great roads here. 25+ miles straight and flat. Once i order and recieve i will put it up against a max, redline, v1 , and sti-o.

When i check up on videos (max vs valentine) i find that they compare very similar. But when i did my own test, the max was beyond awful. That's an "on paper" comparison, BUT where's the "real world" tests @ Radar Roy ??? Ron G alluded to a test the week before at SML at the Sierra Blanca Mountains in TX and then dropped the thought like a hot potato? Was there or was there NOT a test there??? What were the results??? Lets cut through the marketing BS and get the real "test results."

Didn't Ron G leave you the one he had last week and if YES, where the real world driving tests against the Max 1 or 2 or the Redline?? Inquiring minds want to know (and see the tests).

SML did a long range test to compare the Redline and the Max360, not sure about the V1

Carl does not publish his reviews anymore so not sure why Escort even did this test other then to have it on paper someplace

Had a prototype for a few, wasn't even in the final case let alone the final version, so would never do a test with that unit

@ Radar Roy , RR, do we know the results of those tests other than Ron's statement that the Max 360 beat anything that ER makes?? (referring to the Sierra Blanca tests in TX a few weeks ago??)...........

I think Ron slipped up when he mentioned this test by SML, my assumption is that the Redline performed better then all their detectors but that 360 came close

Some of us remember Escort made similar outrageous claims before the Max was released a couple of years ago and we know how it turned out.
