April fools?
Dude, Rustoleum is cheaper. Home Depot. $5.
Sethy, please tell me you're kidding!!! OMG that is dark. I remember Veil guy said that applying more then 1 or 2 coats won't give you anymore protection.
Chris
Sethy,
You are outta control! (Grin)
You might as well take the bloody plate off the front of your vehicle all together!
I bet THAT setup BEATS PHOTORADAR,
JTW, is spot-on - one/two coats max and thats only needed for highly retroreflective paints.
Honestly, when VEIL is everywhere else, the diffuser may be able to do its job effectively or one coat of VEIL with the laserdiffuser.
At the appearance you have, it looks like you might as well use black primer paint.
At any rate, I would say you're protected!!!

Nope, its veil. Bad part is I can't use it because it is to dark now so I dont know what im going to do with it...Quote:

At least its good to know how many potential treatments one can get out one container of VEIL?
I bet you that 99.999999999999999999999999999% of laser is absorbed by this plate.
Perhaps NASA can use it when they send orbitals toward the sun.
I think you have come up with the equivalent of SPF 10,000! 8)
In all seriousness, though, you have may be on to something here.
I have tested light coloured vehicles like yours with a two-coated VEIL'd plate cover with no plate behind it and mounted it on the front.
This does further reduce the ability of laser guns to get a speed reading than just using VEIL on the lights. Since a good portion of the front bumper where LIDAR operators tend to target is eclipsed by the VEIL coating!

Anyone want a free cover? Im afriad I cant use it because you can't read anything :)
to bad you can easily clean it and it will be as good as newQuote:

Ok then try soaking it in Everclear liquor (190proof) it might work
but if you can't get that try 151
Or ask one of your friends who is a chemistry major to try to get it off he has access to the good cleaning stuff,
Soak it in Amonia and then scrub it with Amonia that will clean it off.
everclear is actually 180 proof ;)
thanx i wasn't sure. I have heard 160-190Quote:

I saw a kid put a lighter to the end of a [almost] empty bottle. It went off like a rocket engine. Only problem was his hand was just a bit too close and he burned himself pretty badly. Oops  .Quote:
