Our cops are going to use it mounted inside a car not on tripod (see movie).

What Gatso is this (exact name)?
Which band does it use?
Is my STi useful against this gun?

it's a standard GATSO radar type 24. K Band.

UK uses it on a tripod inside a casing.
Dutch police use it mounted in Vehicles
Chicago uses it mounted inside their photo radar vans.

STi should be as good as many others but if your police are smart they will use it the way they do in UK or holland (with the radar beam aiming at you when you've gone past) so expect short range.

The digital version. This type is the easiest to detect. Also with cheap detectors.
