V1 mounted high will detect laser better than an X50 mounted low.
send in your 2nd RX65, get a can of veil (if you don't mind turning your lights darker), and get a jammer  stealth install  just make sure you cut the jammer and let the LEO get a reading so they're not suspicious.
whatever money you have leftover...can you send a ZR3 to chicago?
One thing to remember is that detectors can interfere with each other yet not neccessarily cause each other to false. You could be potentially decreasing the range that you will detect legit sources. Think about this... when a radar starts up it normalizes itself to it's surroundings, if it sees that weak source next to it it could mask it out. This creates a baseline. Now it won't detect a new source until it is stronger (and different frequency). This is not a completely accurate description of what goes on, but I think it should get my point across. Since money doesn't seem to be an issue just go buy a "parking senser" aka the Pro Park :D
Just a added information, at that distance they tiny laser beam would be so huge it would blanket the entire area, that is why it is easier to detect laser at farther distance, but in this instance at that distance the laser energy would be so weak, it would be diminished and undetectable.
I also agree, no benefit for having two RD's, get a jammer.
Ok so what I am hearing is that having 2 detectors will hurt me more than help, right? So I am seriously thinking about ordering the V1 for laser performance and detection. My questions are this does the V1 have good KA and K range detection or just laser. And second since it is already to late to return my first RX65 if I get a V1 could I run both. Bel high and V1 low? Or is it ok or better both high, both low? I am not terribly comfortable selling on ebay or any other site, so what am I to do?
Thanks in advance

get the V1 for laser, and lose any idea of running 2 RD's in the same vehicle, it will hurt you more than help.
What is more of a concern? laser or radar? I got to agree with investing in veil, also get a stealth jammer installed for laser. What does the laser jamming law state in Cali? Does it specifically say laser countermeasure are illegal? or just the nationwide FCC law about active radar jamming?
Accessory lights are all over Cali, say it is part of your lighting system, or you are making a homebuilt adaptive cruise control system. Thats my story & I'm sticking to it!
Just one question though, what type of car were you followng when you got that laser warning? some taillights can trigger a false, and a vehcile with adaptive crusie control coming the other direction could trigger a false too, since the use laser to judge a safe following distance in Lexus, Infinity, & a few others. I had it happen to me a couple of times.
get rid of your 2nd RX65. keep your first RX65. no need to get the V1. you already have one of the best 4. better to jam the laser than have a ticket alert.
Welcome to the board Ace_Racer. As far as the V1 goes, most units have very good k/ka band detection. The laser detection is superb! I know GTO will back me on this! :D
I know that KA is used 99% of the time and I have yet to visually spot or get a laser alert (Actual, not a huge false), but I hear rumors that laser is in the near future :(Quote:
