looks good, the belscorts made a great showing, the numbers show it as being tops. IMHO

lets hope they get that "self-Cal" issue handled soon to stay on top.

The Valentine unit impressed me with it's stealthyness with the RDD test.

And of course it still owns laser, ( however it doesn't help, except to tell you that you have been clocked)

And Cobra suprised me, except the RDD test and the fact other detector alert to it!

I am still happy with my Valentine, Ya just can't top the arrows, no way, no how. Why didn't anyone ever think of that before Valentine, I mean really, such a simple feature that us V-1 guys just love for the open road.

I agree, i don't think you could go wrong with any of the top 3 detectors to be quite honest. I was mainly concerned with the over the hill and instant on results. Ka band is really getting used in my area and need the best protection i can get. I was happy to see the pro65 (since i bought one) do well in this catagory.

Now we just need V1 to beef up on the ka, and than maybe we can talk them into a cop detector of sorts.

they all looked pretty good they all being the v1, rx65 and 8500. They all did about the same it looks like based on the results. the 8500 isnt very good with detection detection but that doesnt matter if its legal in your area. Very impressed with the 9 mile tests. Glad i picked the 8500 due to the self cal issues on the rx65 and the v1 was a money issue. Thanks speed zones

What kind of windshield mount are they using in those pics and where can you buy one?

They looked like they may have been homemade maybe with a suction cup and like velcro on the bottom and top they probably used it as a constant using the same mounting for each radar detector so the results would be most "fair" I dont really like them but im sure you could make one or email speedzones see if they made it or not.

Im amused that the Belscorts totally beat the V1 in over the hill, except the X50 anyone know what versions of all the units they were using???????

and the Laser test...trailing vehicle at 1500ft..............Mobile LIDAR?!?!?!?!?! and were they using the PLIII as shown in the picture?????

X50 did pretty sh**ty in the RDD test, luckily RDs are legal where I am

I'm finding the rdd results interesting because cheetah (not as i know of) havent got a spectre rdd as they are made in the uk and so are legal, plus i wouldnt have thought they'd be clued up on rdds..

but the cheetah are detected by vg2 and the hcr and md-3 which cops may still have the old vg2's over here from when they were illegal to use..

strange thing is only the spectre 2 could detect the cheetah! it looks like the old stuff is detecting it but the new stuff doesnt.

so i'm wondering what ghz the emissions are on!

i also like that there are now 3 detectors which the spectre rdd cant detect, obviously this is getting higher all the time......

it will only be a matter of time before spectre call it a day..

at last some manufacturers are stealthing their detectors..
