Only things I want superior detection on are radar and laser. To me the rest is useless.

I guess I don't remember, I thought you were the one that had the problem with Bel not honoring their retrofit policy years ago and went round and round with them.

I'd pay $1000 for a cop detector, but since no RD can detect cops ard no RD could prevent every speeding ticket, why pay an extreme amount?

If they made a Smart RD that tracked all LEO's cars by GPS tracking device and Would automatically alert to any Cop that was on the road you were traveling, but would be smart to tune out a car .5 miles down a side road that you were traveling on. Basically a smart RD that did not scan for radar just GPS transmisions.

I would if it was / had..

    The best
    Remote installation display head
    Arrows
Gps, possible navigation on the concealable display, with markers where you set locations, or exactly where the signal was coming from...
Detected police (maybe scanned for their lights, leds etc on vehicles...)

    lol

I would pay over a grand.

Yes, if it could be a guaranteed ticket avoider. But, I think that is impossible.

    There's still VASCAR and laser.

$550 is ridiculous for a dashmount RD IMO. All I would like is one that (in a perfect world) doesn't give any false alerts. Most of today's detectors give sufficient warning to real threats... my 1793SE gives great protection and only cost $99. The only downside is that I'm aware of EVERY Cobra on the road as well as door-opener, etc.

So equal (or better) performance, but w/world class filtering, would be the perfect advancement to today's current RD offerings.

+1 It won't save you from a cop shooting some good instant-on and it won't save you from Laser or Vascar.

How much trouble would one get in if he/she were to get caught puting GPS trackers on all cop cars in their city?

I would need superior self diagnostics to let me know if all is working per spec.
