you know you are right. next time I'll take my $2,500 dollar laptop out and let it set in the sun (94 degree heat), and the dust / sand clouds just so we can get you the results quicker. or perhaps next time you can donate us some money so each member can have an iPhone so that all the results are instantly entered and wireless transmitted to each member. get me a blue tooth add on while your at it.

stfu, about the wait time. Do your own testing and post your results instantly, if you don't like the wait. There is no fee, so last time I checked you are not owed anything.

I appreciate you being interested, but most of us spent yesterday getting home. For myself I was up for 18 hours, and I had to work all day today. And tonight I'm going to lay on my couch and watch some tv and relax.

Hopefully this clears some fog from your train of thought.

I guess so. Several have been purchased. What bothered me somewhat was the rush to order one before it was even on the market. All new technology is bound to have bugs. One could hope that Escort would have thoroughly tested it before release but with a piece of equipment that sophisticated and driving situations and environmental conditions so different, there are bound to be needed improvements along the way.

I loved the 9500i... unfortunately it has some significant problems which made me return it.

I love the speed dependent sensitivity adjustment.. that part worked brilliantly. Also, the concept of locking out false locations is also fantastic... there are currently too many bugs in it. I'm going to wait till the software is released, more bugs worked out... then I'll re-buy it.

I don't want to be stuck with a $450 piece of malfunctioning hardware. I'd rather earn a little more interest on my $450.

It's not their primary job and they're not paid for it. It's plainly voluntary work for all of us and i can wait for how long it takes to complete and finalize the results.

Yeah it is our society today that everything has to be in an instant. People watch TV and while they watch CSI every crime is resolved in 30 minuets and I can understand to some degree because it is human nature to get caught up in the excitement but it is not reality. What I don't understand is why people have to get nasty and vocal, this is just uncalled for.

I have attended GOL in the past and if my work would have allowed I would have been to this event in Arizona but unfortunately I had to let this one pass. In being with these guys in the past and watching how they operate, seeing them cover every slightest detail is amazing. There is no other word for it beyond passion! Not only passion is involved here though, there are two other ingredients to this equation that formulate GOL and that is intellect and honesty.

I think it is time for people to cut these guys some slack and let them take the time they need to put all their results together. I can promise you that when the results are released they will be 100% genuine accurate with no strings attached results that you will never have to question. Remember nobody is in GOL's pockets and I can attest that it is my opinion that there are no other radar detector testing professionals out there that I would trust outside of GOL and team.

hey, we're in the same boat everyone else is if not worse.
you guys don't know the actual results, but it's understandable that you want to see them, not only to see how things compare, but to then discuss the results.

we already know them, and i for one am dying to be able to talk about it, but i can't.
i see speculation and questions that i could answer, but not until the results are officially posted.

i thinks it's almost worse knowing, but not being able to comment. :?

It all depends the .826 was the software for about 2-4months before a software update but every software up date doesn't mean an increase in performance :wink:

Dial "V18-3826" it's the only number you need 8)

When someone asks me "is it ready yet" or "how much longer?" or what have you (usually some stupid manager who isn't qualified for their job), I purposefully delay completion, or at least I fantasize/threaten to. :twisted:

The more often the GOL members have to answer "how many more days" the less they'll have time to actually compile and post the results. Patience is a virtue, and it'll be worth the wait I'm sure.

I can't wait to see some video footage of my PL2 in action, which I loaned them for the testing.

wow i would of never quest it was this detector, cause i used the 940 and the 965 they were ok i guess, but not like my rx65 so your saying that the 955 has the same long range as rx65 and v1 and the escort x50, if thats the case iam going to buy me one, my rx65 doesnt really work that wellin ka no more

I am not saying that the Valentine One won the 2007 guysoflidar.com test but I find it weird that Radar Roy put up that statement about the Bel 955 but there are no declarations about any of the other top detectors he sells.

What was weird about it JAZZY? He, radar roy clearly stated in his website that it is the top performer of the radar detectors priced below $200. Man.... you need to read and understand it straight. The others may have not perform well and as a businessman, you would like to emphasize one of the product that was outstanding during the test. Put your shoes on radar roys place, would you have not done the same thing? At least he was honest and did not state that the RX65 or X50 was better than the V1.

Does it mean to say that anyone can post numbers and not declare a winner? :? You guys need to put a stump or a seal for the declared winner. Without the sealed winner, it also means you're not backing it up in legal terms. It also means that the results can change.

Sounds like JAZZY understood it to me, as all JAZZY was insinuating is that after checking all of Roy's units the Bel 955 was the only one so far that GOL got high marks on.
Just like Socrates1 and rsxti mentioned I thought that it was a good catch since we are all patiently waiting for results.

Nothing wrong with promoting a detector he sells that did well in that price range. Not everyone can afford to spend $400 on a detector. :wink:

The Bel 955 sounds like a good detector.
