Default Am I correct in saying this.......

Am I correct in saying that the sole purpose of I/O is specifically to catch radar detector users only? Otherwise, why not just leave the radar on constant. Less trouble for the leo to do so.

Correct. RD users/owners had grown exponentially since the late 90's and so with the evolving RD detection range/features the speed detection buisness has develeoped their own response to the growing # of RD owners. Its basically a back and forth game. IO and laser are becoming more and more of an everyday routine for the modern traffic officer.

1000% in legal areas but 0% (as in no I/O at all) in illegal areas like Ontario where nobody is using an RD, any RD...
