Get a handheld scanner and just put the air patrol frequency in it. When you hear some voices coming from the scanner you know the chopper is up. I used to listen to all the police frequencies in my area, however I get sick of it and would rather listen to music instead. At least if you just have that one frequency plugged in it wouldn't babble every day...only when it's a speed trap that's out.
Get a scanner most Unidens have a close call feature which will jump to close radio transmissions on a certain programs radio frequency range...It's an awesome feature

Like that, and each distance (IN NH) is 1500 feet. WHY?
because its 500 yards which is a convient EASY number to put into the thumbwheel on the Kustom HR-11 and HAWK radar units called the "Stop watch"

NH refers to it as the "Sky timer" in the 1990's, and still uses a system of 1500 feet (500 yards) to clock you in LARGE gangs of police like 5 or more officers........

Don't know about VT or CT, RI, ME, but the second officer saw the infraction.
It would be hearsay if only one officer testified to what the other said, saw and did.......................
