That will certainly help with the K-to-Ka switch (the X50 in the STD mode decides which it feels is the most important threat and shows that band, strength, and tone).
In EXP, it will still have the tone of the alert it feels is the most important, along with its band ID/strength... but it will also show all other alerts relative signal strength that its processing as well.
This wont do much for the muting aspect though... which is what the 9500ix would help with.
X2.
If you get a K alert and a KA band is sensed it will only show the KA even though the K is still there.
Expert mode all the way!

Re: Ka appears as K from long distances?
We used to play a lot with Multanova (Ka 34.36 GHz) with my friends. Some radar detectors were showing K band and than half a second, one second later correct Ka alert. Falsing detectors were: Bel Vector 995 S7 4.5, Bel Vector 955 S7 4.5. Detectors weren't falsing at the same area: Bel RX65e M4 6.4, Whistler Pro 78 C, Valentine One 3.864, Passport 9500i.
Do you know what revision your X50 is?
