Buy detector now or save up for better?

Sorry for the that-edited my last post.

I see that escort has recently dropped the price of the shifter ZR-3.($250 is a deal for 2 front receivers, one back) Not looking for top of the line protection since i don't exceed the PSL by too much.
I could definitely spend 250+150 for total protection.
It has pretty good reviews from what i see and seems it would serve its purpose on the highway. Any opinions on it, especially with it connected to a 8500?

The ZR3s are nowhere near the level of the Blinder M27s or the LIs. My ZR3s were 7/8 on laser saves. My LIs are bullet proof. There's no comparison.

At this point, i don't think i could go with something like LI. My budget for both a radar detector and a jammer is around $500. You said your Zr3 got 7/8 saves? Sounds like more than enough protection for my driving needs.
So the zr3 would give me adequate protection? I would of course mount all three heads on the front.
The only thing i'm worried about is my car- its a WHITE ford ranger, with a front license plate. Picture of example car included, but HAS a front plate.

Would 3 zr3 heads protect it well enough? Again, not a huge speeder but looking for extra protection.

ZR3/4 with some Veil on the headlights may do it. The front of your truck is mostly black which is a good thing.

Thanks for the feedback. It sounds like the budget zr3 should protect me from a majority of frontal shots, and that's all i really need.
Any other opinions on my combo, especially on the escort ZR3?
