I'll try to find out the ban date... if i find it i'll post later but i'm sure they are going to try this summer...

The ban has passed through House of Lords and is back in progress through the House of Commons. If Bill progresses quickly through the committee stages of the Commons it could potentially be through by summer and then become law 6 months later (after receiving what's known as Royal Assent.) So realistically the detector and jammer Ban could come into UK law by the end of 2006 but it's more likelyo to happen towards first half of 2007.
