RMR ripoff
I'm relatively new to this forum and have been upset these past few days because when I joined here a few days ago, I basically learned that I was ripped off. It's not easy to read that. So if I seemed a little edgy on any of the posts.....sorry
. I bought an RMR-C302 a little less than 3 yrs ago and the unit has done absolutely nothing for me (except for a bunch of falses). Laser has never gone off and has never "jammed" anything since I have gotten several tickets without it even going off. Granted the unit will sometimes detect radar, but even when this happens it doesnt seem to help me because it will usually just be a police car (while driving) or some other road sign. I was point blank on a car once and he said he got me with laser and the unit did squat. I recently emailed them saying that I was pissed that all of a sudden people are proving that their units dont work and they just give me the crap that I'm sure you guys are already aware of. I told them that if they have data, then post it on their website...make a video even. They said they passed on the suggestion to the administrator and it should be up on their site in a few days. This will be very interesting  . As for the video, they said that they dont think they will do that because people will think it was tampered with. Sure. It's funny cuz before I came to this site, I really thought that there was no such thing as a good detector, but I was mistaken. Its like this new possibility just oppened up that "maybe I can get something that actually works...wow...wouldnt that be great?" Anyway, just letting you guys know about how they say they will post the data that they supposedly get when the universities do the tests so I will be looking forward to this. Is there anybody who knows anyway I could get a refund on this product? This would be based on the fact that the units have been proven not to work in the lab. It's still in warranty, but definitely beyond the 30-day money back period. I'm a student and dont want to get caught up with lawyers and whatnot. So any suggestions?

Radar Fanatic
The only recourse you might have had would have been the credit card you purchased it on. Unfortunately I doubt they will actually do anything since it was three years ago. So I'm pretty sure that you are permanently out that money. You can't even sell them on ebay anymore because RMR "scramblers" have been banned under their policy. Not due to the fact that it's a scam but rather due to the fact that they jam radar.
Does anybody know where to find the video of the kid smashing his RMR with a sledge hammer? It won't help with the money but you might feel better. I would then send the pieces back to their customer service department and ask for warrantee repair.
Loads of people have been hozed by RMR. At least you are now one of those who learned the truth and can get something that actually works! Many don't follow that path.

Well it comes with a 3yr warranty so I do still have that
. Doesnt even seem to be worth shipping costs. Although I do see a lot for sale on ebay. Something that doesnt make sense is that their Phaser II unit which is just designed for jamming and not detecting would do what exactly?

Good Citizen
you bought from a jackass company? sickening. not bashing you bro, im surpised they didnt send you one which was an empty shell and full of rocks! I suggest you torch that Rangeless Malfunctioning Ripoff piece of crap. Useless devices like those are not even worthy to be called radar warning devices!

It was about 3 yrs ago and didnt know any better. The so called ticket rebate program is what finalized my decision, but 3 yrs is a long time and I'm back in the market trying to figure out what to buy out of RX65, V1, and X50. I have gotten total of around 75 bucks through this program for about 200 worth of tickets.

Yoda of Radar
They acutally paid you for your ticket? I would sell it on Ebay Viper, people sell them there all the time!! What are you wanting to sell it for?

Yah they actually do pay for your ticket and it's more than ten percent like some people claim. My first ticket I got about sixty percent of it back and my second i got about 10 percent. It's still crap cuz i'm down 125 when I shouldnt be down at all.

Yoda of Radar
Are you going to sell it on Ebay?

Maybe, why do you ask? I might have to since I have no other use for it (except for a paperweight).

I would smash the living Shiot out of it, box it up with a nice little note on how you feel for it and send back to the company
