I just hope I notice the difference between glass mount antenna and W881 super gainer handheld antenna. Is there a big difference in reception?
I did a test using the Mon-51 magnet and the W881 with very noticeable results in favor of the Mon-51 antenna.
The glass mount doesn't attach to any metal will this decrease the receiving capabilities?
If there is not a BIG difference in performance between the W881 handheld super gainer antenna and the glass mount on windshield on A pillar then it wouldn't be worth the trouble.

Again, getting it outside of the metal frame of the car will make a significant difference. And regardless of the lack of ground plane, the simple height gain will contribute significantly to your reception. Yes, you will definitely notice an improvement. Not to mention that you don't have to either hold it up in your hand, or figure a place to set an antenna that big in a car anymore. The convenience factor itself is worth it, even if you didn't get improved performance.

That W881 handheld super gainer antenna isn't that long or big where it takes up alot of space. It is very thin and actually fits fine in cupholder it is just the performance on it that is terrible. I think I tested it some time ago with the rubber duck antenna that came with handheld and couldn't tell the difference between these two handheld antennas which is pretty bad considering I paid $40.00 for the W881.
