Are you sure they're not using LIDAR? Even the V1 has a hard time with that. It's also possible they're using I/O and just being really selective.

If you bought it from Beltronics direct, it's an M4.
Little "l" with automuting set to 30 in the city, make sure you have K band muting turned on also (read the stickies). On the Highway switch it to A, or anywhere that you're not familiar with the...
Occasional false Laser alerts due to either active cruise control in cars, older brake lights and driving into direct sunlight. Sometimes, just because it feels like it I think! The only Ka falses...
Black Ford F150 right? I see him all the time. Central FL have a ton of unmarked cars, and they use I/O VERY selectively. They're starting to use Laser as well so watch out.
Your Escort cord will work, you just won't be able to go into programming mode.
Scatter saves are always fun, the one I got this year was because the cop was being very sloppy and just targeting every single car that passed. I got lucky.
M4 platform is great for most situations, but it'll bite you one day with poor I/O alerts - especially if it's off axis. if I/O was not a constant threat here I'd get a 9500 for the city.
With an Escort? I'm impressed, I've had maybe one false Laser alert with my RX65 in 3 years. My V1 goes off frequently when driving into direct sunlight.
The higher the better because it gives your more range. To the left of your RVM for stealth, but it really depends on how your car is set up.
It's worthless in that you can't rely on it to pick up all of the Ka band frequencies (or laser, not that that matters) but as a trade in it's worth some money. I would keep it for the interest...
Glad to hear, I can't imagine dealing with that week in week out like you do. Thank you for keeping us safe out there!
I wouldn't trust my drivers license to it, the best RDs come from US companies.
RX65 and C65 are basically the same unit, they have Ka-USA mode which will give you a slight edge over the X50. All three use the same M4 antenna. The RX65/C65 are particularly hot on Ka 35.5 if...
Never had an issue with the volume on my RX65, even with the windows down and radio blaring. Have you tried adding an external speaker?
Yep, POP stays off then since local State Troopers love their Stalker guns. K band is very rare around here, and it's always C/O.
It can go both ways, POP on definitely increases K band QT performance but it appears to have a detrimental effect on Ka-band. Anyone else noticed this?
Careful turning X band off, if you drive into NJ you will definitely encounter it.
Odd, don't remember mine ever missing the laser test at startup. Call VR.
Hopefully this is a sign of new things from Valentine Research...
Owned an XTR-140, RX65 and V1. I have never been pulled over for any reason but have had a few near misses believe me :)
V1 with Spectre immunity and a GPS unit. I can dream.
You're wasting your time, laser detection is worthless as it's a ticket notifier. Run the Redline in the city (no rear antenna so less chatty) and V1 on the highway. Or sell one of them as they're...
Nice! The rear antenna has saved me a bunch of times from pesky FHP and their rear I/O shots.
I don't think you'll see any difference in detection, but 3.872 is slightly better at handling ghosting. It does still ghost, though.
