I do not think velcro would be good enough as it's glue melts and it looses adhesion.
I would like a way to attach them that was removable, or at least initially adjustable to make sure they are level. For theft mitigation purposes, I would prefer a method that required removal of the grill first before the heads could be removed to make it more difficult.
I am wondering if the 3m stuff that is used for toll booth transponders would work. It's kinda like velcro, only the hooking material is entirely plastic, not a combination of plastic and cloth. The glue has has never melted on my windshields.
My question is whether it is waterproof.
It the heads are between the slots I think it would be extremely difficult to get them to slide out.
Anybody used this stuff on the exterior, or have a better idea of how to mount the heads in the slots between the slats of the grill?
They will fit well! Here they are mounted on my C55 which uses the same grill as the CLKs who's slots are very narrow! If they fit in this application, they will certainly do so in yours!

You should try to utilize the supplied aluminum L-Brackets for this install if at all possible! This will eliminate both the heat issue of adhesive type installs as well as provide for the theft-proof security, addressing that concern. This will require a patient and talented installer so find him first and then proceed with the install making sure he is both diligent as well as monitor his progress during the work! Removal of the grills is a must when proceeding with this of course!

Well i got a chance to mess around with the Stalker that repeater rented from Surf. It was really fun, only wish my unit was working properly.
Issue i ran into.
Rear heads dead, gave full reading. Weird tho, sometime it would alert stalker but Pete or i shooting were still getting readings.
Front heads, haha when i drive they did no alert or jam at all. When Pete girlfriend drove my car and i shot, full jam and alert. I aimed all over the damn car, finally got a PT at about 31ft left mirror. 2nd PT was at 131ft roof line.
We tested on local streets to make it more realistic feeling and stuff to get a better idea.
Come to find out, with Pete camera with night shot viewing the rear heads, u can actually see water/moister inside the heads. I ask him to check the front, and sure enough front also had water drops inside them.
No videos for anyone im sorry, but i am returning these getting some new ones sent out to me. My advice for anyone would be to seal the heads yourself with some clear water proof glue. Im not sure if this will void warranty, Cliff if you are reading could you verify this. I just dont see the problem with it, instead of having the trouble of taking them off and sending em back and everything when i can i guess do it myself.
When i get the new ones installed soon, i hope to get some videos up and running. Other than that, Pete escape did awesome. I got couple PT at very close, about 29 to 60ft range, roof line and mirror shot. Good product, when working :-p for me haha.
LI has been nothing but great help, from Cliff to Ivan, and even when Elvis was US Rep. Any problems i had they took care of them no questions.

No, it won't void the Warranty but as you will be retuning these known batch of defective sensors and we will be sending you out the newer sensors with the improved sealant, you will not need to do that once these arrive.Quote:
