I sure do hope they are taking theses problems serious, i think they are shrugging them off as ''internet talk'', obviously with many forum members suffering with various problems its not something which vr should be taking lightly..
Me too. Mine is due back with the 3.854 update prob around Tuesday due to the holiday. If I have problems back it goes and I'll go to another brand.Quote:

Sure glad I kept my 3.826 till VR gets the E's ironed out!
WHat in the world has Mike and VR done to these V-1's that has all of them getting the dreaded E all the time now! They have got to step up and figure this out :!:
I really feel for all of you having "trust" issues with the V1. I am running version 3.826 and I have no plans of upgrading. ine started life as a 3.825 and I had the ghosting and "j" bug issues. Sent it in for the .826 flash and the j buggin got worse. Way worse. I sent it back to VR with a way less than happy note. I was not confrontational but told them I have lost faith in the unit. Michael, the tech, called a few days later and asked me what my concerns were. I told him and he said he would personally change all the "innards" of the unit out for the ones that were currently in production. This was approx. three 1/2 months ago. When I got it back I was very pleased. It has not j'd out a real radar signal yet and the range is very good. Mind you I never get any of the 2 or 3 mile alerts that I have read about on this forum. Then again my driving is in S.E. N.Y., N.J., and eastern PA so there are many hills and curves and you never get alot of warning. I have done many many comparisons between it and my X50 rev.5 which I also truly like. The V1 alerts first on every band alert period. Honestly not by much, sometimes only an alert tone length but always first. Also, the filtering is very good. The X50 does beat it though. I believe, from experience not knowledge, that the V1 issue is the Ka filtering. I have done many runs against the locals with their eagle bi directional units (parked and in constant on mode) and I have observed that with PoP enabled, you lose roughly 1-2 seconds of initial alert. I think this can cause a real problem with detecting a distant instant on trap due to lack of response caused by filtering. With PoP off you lose a good second. Turn of the Ka guard and DAMN it really comes to life! I hope VR can figure out the switch to digital technology that they are making. This change, when perfected, will bring this unit up to the standards that we "zombies" expect. I'm not updating until that time. Just my opinion. Scott
Current production is 3.854. Do you have this one?Quote:
