V1's not picking up side of street radar signs

I have a WalGreens in town that has 8 microwave door openers. Now, since the day it opened, I have never got an alert that store...even from 25 feet away in the parking lot.

Glad I do not pick up 8 microwave sources with my V-1. Wish ALL stores had those type of door openers! ( I should actually look closer to see any information on them for freq, etc...)

I think V-1 does a great job of selectivity OR the door openers are so out of the normal freq range.

Why would you want to? it is not used for traffic enforement! so why would you want to be alerted to it? it cannot be used for ticketing!!

good point switchback, now if you want falses crapras are your friend. (btw sometimes cobras display pop alert to door openers and vg2 alerts where rd's are completly legal :lol: )

The detector works awesome against legitimate sources. Also, my detector is 3.818 and I want it to stay that way. :)

This happened with my Bel rx65 in the past as well. No alert but i am watching my speed displayed accurately. How come they can't use it, the speed reading was accurate?

sounds like you got a bad V1 because i went by a sign like that today and had 1.2 mile warning K and got .7 from reverse after i passed it. sounds like 1.) your V1 doesnt like you or 2.) its broken and you need to send it in

FM-CW units are used because they only display traffic coming toward the unit, and they do not display speeds for vehicles moving away from it.

So if a cop was to use this technology, (which is not approved for proper evidence in a traffic case) it would limit by 50% the amounts of vehicles they could ticket.

it is not a superior technology such as Instant-on KA
