Sent my V1 in on June 3rd for software update from 3.818 to 3.819. Received it back today, June 13th. Not bad service considering this included 4 weekend days.

That's interesting. I just ordered a returned one at was sent a 3.824. ??? Is that bad?
3.824 is the best they make right now!
Oh, lucky me. That may explain why I get fewer falses than with my Rx 65. I love it any which way.
My wife's V1 was upgraded to 3.824 (Euro mode) but when I sent mine in to upgrade from 3.818 to 3.819, I asked not to include the Euro mode since, if it were turned on, it would reduce detection here in the US. And if I were going to return to Europe, the last thing I would be thinking about is my RD. Drive safely and happy motoring.
Why didn't you get the upgrade and just leave it off? I may be off base but I think it may have something to do with the few false alarms I get. I had a bel Rx 65 that faled a lot more than my v1....even on city mode.
Probably because 3.824 (Euro mode) cost $75 more to upgrade (we think because they might have had to add hardware)Originally Posted by davekr
And it also has a new flaw (section 7 K band automute does not work)
I didnt want to pay for the Euro mode upgade which is useless in the US.Originally Posted by V1 Dave
