X2....I commute on the Southern State Pkwy and this is a parkway with many curves that is heavily enforced with ka and I have never had a problem detecting ka with my 1.7 or my 1.8.

I own V1 3.858 and V1 3.813 and have never seen off axis problems. In fact a lot of the "falsing" occurs because of V1's superior sensitivity which in turn gives it superior off axis detection. For crying out loud VR has to put a chip on it to control its off axis detection :lol:

I'd say that the V1's off axis problems have been reported by plenty of people. As have it's problems with Multanova 34.3 and it's problems with forward facing radar. There's a pattern there.

You're a liability to GOL everytime you move from neutrality to advocacy and I don't care what excuses you trot out. You'll wind up damaging their credibility.

Face the FACTS! I give you FACTS! You refuse to accept FACTS. Makes me wonder who you work for. I will take video of V1's off axis detection ability then post it and you will still refuse to accept facts. Wake up buddy and smell the coffee. Look at the lab sensitivity numbers. Look at our tests. IMO the V1 can be too sensitive at times especially around the city.

While were at it lets find out who AirMoore works for. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Two antennas should defiantly pick up a side street better, however I believe rumors started about this were referring to V1 picking up radar late on hills and corners.
These areas are hard to pick up especially with Ka.

We will settle this in the GOL test, let me know if you need a 1.7 for the different horn.

V1 doesn't have an off axis issue if your wanting a deep detecting radar.

Look,,, each detector has its own flavor of detection. If you travel on mostly curvy roads you may want a detector that has shallow depth, but the antenna lobe has a very wide off axis coverage.

If you travel straight long highways the V1 would be ideal at detecting the deepest possible signal much like RD #3!!

These_are_not_issues_with the V1 but antenna design and one must pick out which radar works best for them.

I like a detector that has above average depth detection but a very wide off axis converge pattern like RD #1

But yes... Its time for GOL to perform off-axis test at EACH BAND frequency.

RD staying PUT while pointing North. The radar gun takes measurements at FIRST alert positions East then South then West.

I would actually prefer RD3 since it gives you the best of both worlds and I would not want my detector going off when a cop is traveling 7 streets to the side of me :lol: :lol: :lol:

The V1 does well with 34.7 but not with 35.5. Overall i can stay if it is not the best, it is second best in Ka band even with off axis detection. It seems to vary with frequency though.
