Maybe he didn't actually shoot. Or he had a VERY steady hand. How far away were you when you thought he shot?

as happyass has shown in his videos the v1 wont alert to laser if its targeted at the number plate of the car infront....

so i would have thought that this is the same case sometimes with the laser hitting your number plate!

if your on your own and you get hit with laser nothing will help!
    exept a jammer of course!

Was there a car in front of you? When I did my testing with the Stalker it didnt matter where you hit the car with laser it would always alert. Perhaps he didnt actually shoot In all my experiences the V1 has always alerted before the Blinder. And I have mine mounted up as high as you can get!

With the detector up high and in the corner of the windshield (do you have it on the visor?) it could miss a close-up laser shot since the beam is very narrow and aimed at your plate or headlights.

Another thing to check is to make sure the V1 is as straight and level as you can get it. If it's pointing up or down, and not "looking" straight ahead, it can reduce its laser sensitivity.

Although mounting high could cause the V1 to miss a direct laser hit (which just means you were clocked and can't do anything about it unless you have a jammer), it increases the chances of detecting a hit aimed at a car in front of you, giving you a few seconds to slow down before you're hit.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

Not the case with recent V! 1.8s!!!!! They are so sensitive to laser that they will alert you if you were getting shot with laser
