this must be really nibbling at mike and his engineers the fact that people have reported theses faults yet they cant replicate them in the lab!
that must be frustrating, abit like cars they only play up away from the garage. when at the garage they act normal, mechanic cant find anything wrong! :x
gggggrrrrr......
Maybe someone close to him will go make a house call and show them!
Sethy is pretty close, isn't he? I know he dropped his V1 off in person there when he had his fixed/upgraded. But then he was on a road trip at the time. Maybe HappyA$$?Originally Posted by Holla

So far I have been lucky and not had anything J'd out. I do however see the K band ghost bogie count. So maybe I should call them to find out if they are working on a fix.

Since only a few people are seeing the "J" issue in 3.825 I wonder if maybe it's a particular model radar gun that's causing it, one that VR doesn't have in their lab.
Has anyone (Sethy) attempted to get a visual of a "Junked-out" radar gun?

Well, I have a X50 on its way from Radarbusters. So I guess I'm not totally a V1 snob anymore!
When the X50 arrives I'll send the V1 out for its upgrade. Then when I get it back I can do comparisons between the two. It would be funny if I ended up liking the X50 better.I'd miss my concealed display and arrows though.
In the meantime, I guess my V1 isn't too far out of tune, since it detected two Bedford LEOs running K band, from quite a distance I might add (incidentally, it was a Bedford cop that it didn't detect a few days ago). It's probably just off enough so that a radar that's off band in one direction doesn't get detected. That's something else I'll try to determine with the X50's frequency display.![]()

I have had several encounters with Ka band radar, driving right past the cop car, and I have not had my 3.825 "J out" even once.

NPs so far with (J)unking out rollers with my 3.825 V1.
I really liked the X50 but found that the "Expert-Meter" display was wonderfully informative, but way too small for this old man's eyes. I think the blue may be better for using the ExpMeter, but this is conjecture.
