I dont know man i know for sure the the 1st was real. Because I got 4-5 dots like an Instant on and then J. I looked to my right i saw leo.

alot of times quick KA burts with two or more dots usually means a leaking rd and it properly Js it out.
well quick burst of ka can also be I/O and i hope v1 doest j out that to.
its really hard to draw a fine line between real i/o or crapra falsing. Even if the V1 Js something out , I'll still slow down, and be carefull for the next mile or two. Either way its no big deal. Better to alert then J out a real cop then to not alert at all!! If the rd j's out a real cop, i would turn it off and on to refresh it as well.
So far the concensus is that J-outs of LEOs are RARE but the algorithm that causes it is active, POP on or off. However, J-outs of non-police radar (leaky Cobras) is more prevalent when POP is on than when POP is off.
Often times the ramp-up on legit J-outs is jagged and sudden for 1-2 seconds followed by a J-out. So, given that, I think what you're seeing is a coincidence. It's more than likely the cop was not running radar, and you happened to J-out a leaky detector or other radar source at the same time you passed the cop. In this case, the J-out is a great feature that tells you conclusively "Never mind, that scary IO-like alert was a false!". Most other detectors have similar false-rejection schemes built-in but they just silently reject the alert after issuing it, so you have no idea if it is more likely to be IO or a junk detector.
I believe one of the members with an SR-7+V1 setup (Eric?) reported an experience where both the SR7 and V1 went off on Ka, then the V1 junked it out, while the SR7 just went silent.
When I spoke to Valentine about (POP on) they said that the J feature does not work with POP off?
J is an inbuilt feature and it cannot be stopped. the only way is to keep pop off to see fewer J'outs.
i dont know really cos we have no Ka band here. only a few K band camera vans and all the rest is laser and i had the V1 for nearly a year before i had my first J-out so i cant help much there unfortunately.
i had considered turning pop back on recently as ive read on here that it makes the V1 more sensitive and we do have some low powered Multanova K band here. however i already have my V1 on Euro mode (which increases K sensitivity) and im not sure if pop on will make any difference in this mode
ill have to test it out at some stage against a door opener nearby........
