Rocky, check option 6 in the programming menu (ka guard on/off. You may have ka guard off so try turning it on to see if this helps. Remember, it always takes some time to get used to using a V1 because it can be a little too sensitive especially when a woman gets in the vehicle that has a V1 in it. If I have to pick up my sister for some odd reason, auto mute/city mode/ and lower volume level are mandatory. In my mothers car w/ the Whistler 1743 hardwired, I have it set at city 2 mode, auto quiet and volume set at 6. She likes her 1743 believe it or not.

I have a 3.819 which seems excessively chatty compared to my 3.826 and 3.856. With Poop turned off it is very quiet... No false KA.

That last car that passed you before the end of the video had a cobra in it, turn POP off and this problem will all but disappear.

Thanks for all the reply's, I just got home from my parents house. I went 200 miles with no Ka Band false because I turned POP OFF. I will use this setting from here on out. I hope it doesn't hurt my range or sensitivity to I/O.

My wife loves her 9500i, she hates the V1. I even use my IX during the week going to work and back, but when its time to hit the highway I always take the V1. And I get to hear it all the way to our destination, how the 9500i doesn't beep here and how annoying the V1 is.

That's the trade off, it appears it does help I/O sensitivity from what others have said.

I run with mine off as well, the false alerts were just to much as there are about a million cobra users in Atlanta it seems!!!

My guess would be that abother car around you was also using a radar detector and your V1 was experiencing interference. It seems to me that other people's radar detectors make my V1 false on Ka. I have a 3.872

You could let her walk next time, then she'll be quiet or leave, either way you have quiet!
