    I think its a little too old. If you click on the link in my sig the new v1's (3872) tested pretty well.

    Yeah it is, and I've had nothing but good experiences with it.

    hmmm
    i guess it is time for me to upgrade then.

    V1 says its not worth it though lol...on the website when i enter in my serial number.

    I think you enter wrong serial #..
    if you enter 1.7 V1 Serial # correctly...it probably say Version is not quite up to date etc...,and upgrade fee is like $2xx,but they will give you brand new unit in exchange..........

    ^ yea thats waht i get and the cost is like 189 which isn't that bad.

    so should i do it? would the performance gains be noticeable?
    i got a ticket with my current one twice.......which kinda sucks.

    get a 3.872 and don't look back. It will be a totally different detector performance wise.

    on the real world one , it tested well with ka guard off , I would like to see what it does with pop off/on with guard on.
