The V1 is already a stellar rd with k band and I had many saves that made me laugh they were so good. With PoP on it's (V1) even better. One word of advice is if you are on the turnpike or interstate, with PoP on, and you get ONE K band alert tone, check your speed as you very well may come across one of PA's finest with the Falcon or one of their ensemble of old stuff, in the middle of nowhere. V1, with PoP on, rules for PA. Or, an M3 with Ka turned off. :O NOT my preferred choice.
I did as NA mentioned and ran POP on K Guard off on the return trip. Had PA using K-band in the medium hitting other cars ahead but not hit me. Worked good so far. :)

some say POP will speed up K band detection and likely help on I/O or Q/T (idk what this is btw, i'll look it up) Alerts while others say POP will reduce the alert speed of the detector as a whole. WHICH ONE IS IT?
if you have a pre-pop V1 u dont have to worry bout this
Go to the forum search at the top and type in "minimum pluse length" and the 9th thread down is that thread. Read it and learn the results on a STI and V1 response time to short burst in the lab (pop on and off) and much more! Happy learning....

That would be a choice you would have to make. For me (in PA) it was worth it because it makes the V1 just that little bit better against far off whiffs of k band. I never noticied a dramatic loss of Ka band response or sensitivity with PoP on. K falsing increases slightly, but oh well....Quote:
