I'll still keep POP & K band off.... too confusing after reading things going this way and that way.
I was going to use the POP when I went through Nevada last month, but by the time I got to Reno I thought about it... that's as far as I got because I'd have to have this laptop & Internet to figure how to change the programing, since I was on the road - then I figured I'd screw it all up so I left things they way they been now for several months.
I figure if I really need to make any changes, then I'll look into it.
Had a good one today on the way home from work - had a blip of Ka on the highway but then it fell silent. I had a rabbit maybe shy of a quarter mile up ahead. I slowed to be cautious and when the traffic coming toward me got closer, I was hit all of a sudden. There was a CHP in one of the pickup trucks, I was looking for a car since I don't see many CHP trucks.
I guess he checked my rabbit, then checked on me when we approached - Ha! I caught the blip with forward arrow and went on guard. All this just after loosing the range of a speed sign behind me. And the arrows are still addicting.

I never noticied any difference, with the belscorts, with PoP on. In fact, I find the PoP alert to be galling. Nothing better than a heart attack in the middle of nowhere with a sudden instant on type PoP alert.

I am running my V1 with 6 Down and J up! Yes it is a pain and I never knew how many leaky detectors there are out there since I made the change 3 weeks ago. I have not had any "J out's" since I turned Ka Gaurd Off though.
Is that normal?

Some guys will get a J out sometimes as they report. It is normal to lose the J out function when the Ka Guard is turned off (#6 down). Happy motoring.....
