You mean "ignore" the Lexus radar sensors. But, if you really mean "jam out" then well ... that would be cool, yet not legal. LOL

How can those damn things send out interference to us and we can't do it back?

Probably because it would be intentional. I guess, according to the FCC, you have to accept unintentional interference but you can't put out interference intentionally. Does this make sense? No? Right. I'm confused too. But remember that detectors are evil and only mean ole bad people use them so they can speed at 100+ mph and kill people. Whereas, a Lexus radar is for safety. Based upon the fact that the FCC commissioner is politically appointed, who do you think they'll side with?

When the vehicle is in motion why the hell do the sensors not turn off? There is no reason for a parking sensor (not jammer) to work when ever the car is just driving.

They also have to deal with blind spot's. I also hear toyota has brake technologies that when something is sensed it will slam the brakes.
Re: February 25 2011 is less than 60 days away... What about the arrows?
The auto manufacturers have found a new and very profitable accessory to shift the consumers focus after decontenting their vehicles for a number of years. With lane assist, adaptive cruise control – collision avoidance, GPS… all in the name of safety, can’t argue with safety can we? It’s all in the name of profits.
What gets me are these same auto manufacturers who produce sports cars for the enthusiasts, Nissan – Infinity, BMW, MB and the little 3 turn around and put laser and radar devices in some of their other vehicle, duh. They run the devices full time since they are in the parts – service replacement business, more profits. They could have at least changed the frequency of the radar.
Ah, rant over, lol.
To the OP, I feel VR will compete as it always has same basic design, update the electronics to stay ahead. Will the competition’s arrows work as well, or have a flawless ramp up… etc? Will they be willing to offer F-15 prices to make the arrows work on remote designs? VR has the ability to address the Ka issues… competition will drive the market, you’re in or out.
BC :)

I agree with you dude. I seriously doubt you'd get Valentine 1 to put in a jammer though, as cool as that would be. But several car manufacturers use radar for adaptive cruise control, not just for parking. So, while the cruise control is engaged the car will continuously measure distance to other cars in front and adjust accordingly, matching their speed vs. what the driver commands so as to avoid a collision. In fact, I believe most, if not all, parking sensors use sonar rather than radar anyway.

I have followed this thread with a question in mind. Why are so many people looking forward to the time (?) when other radar detector manufacturers will be permitted to copy some of Valentine Research's unique features? Since the other major player's units sell for up to $100 more than the V-1, why not simply buy the V-1?
When I was preparing to add a third radar detector to my arsenal several months ago, I looked at others and concluded that for my use even without the ability to 'point to threats' and aside from VR's customer service, the V-1 stands alone, ...and at a significantly lower price. It doesn't get much better than that. YMMV.

Ding Ding Ding...we have a winner!!! It will be funny when all of the exclusive Belscort users, who never saw the arrows as useful, run out and buy a new Belscort with arrows because it is the latest craze.
