I'm gonna guess that you have never used a valentine..... correct?? Well... I have one, and would never even consider trading it for one on the "new rd" that you speak of.

One of the beauties of a Valentine is that you don't have to buy a whole new radar detector to keep up with the latest. Many people have had their V1s for a long long time. They upgrade it because the V1s are upgradeable. I think it is actually a very nice feature.
Wait til the New Year...then we'll see whats up. Should be interesting.
Which New Year? 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 . . . . . lol Serioously, I don't know if MV is willing to invest a lot of money for a new V1. He is comfortable with the cost of the current design and the profit he gets from it unless a competitor will have directional capabilities with quick response time to short burst of radar. Otherwise, the v1 will still be around for a long time. If ain't broke, don't fix it.
It will come when Mike is ready.I am sure he is busy working on something.

For starters on the Redline, I'd rather have Q/T, I/O, and ramp up taken care of as a priority over the "addition" of GPS.
