Heres Savvy

So does this unit mute all signals under the set speed? Or does it just block the X and K band signals?

As I read it, it seems that if you have it set to 55mph, and are still driving around the city, you can come across a potential threat that can be muted and ignored.

I find it funny how people always want to complain about VR. Everyone needs to calm down. Bigger and better things are coming for the V1. Savvy is just the beginning. I'll get one. I know Mike will come through for his customers. He always does.

That's it? SAVVY...big name,very little product. I was hoping that it would integrate with a navigation device like garmin/tomtom.

So... Um, as I stated VR is out of the radar detector business... still getting beat by segmented M3's, still nothing new. (As DJ mentioned, this is like a cheetah knock-off, and it's even worse when it comes to false negatives than Belscorts way of doing things!)

I literally almost fell asleep reading this description.




It should have the slogan: "Prepared to be underwhelmed!"

At least if that was the case, it would deliver on something.

You got that right. Of course everybody is an expert. I'm looking forward for reviews by people that have actually used this device. GPS is one way to skin the cat and uniden where using it long before Belscourt http://www.uniden.co.nz/RESOURCES_MA.../GPS9000NZ.pdf. I'm not into it just because the possibility of missing cops. Also GPS devices (not saying Radar detectors) are notorious for crapping out. Looks like VR have long jeopardy in mind for this device. You know you got easy hard wiring, muting up to whatever speed for under $70 and people still give them sh!t and they haven’t even used it! For real

You got that right. Of course everybody is an expert. I'm looking forward for reviews by people that have actually used this device. It just is very lackluster. It would have been great technology back 10 years ago... but not anymore. Just an old way of thinking, just like VR.

As for GPS products cr@pping out: You are buying the wrong GPS products. GPS products are insanely simple devices (relatively speaking)... so if it's breaking it's cheap /discussion there. I know many "early adapters" of GPS units in-car that are near a ~decade old, and their unit still work like a charm. You're just reaching for something if you think GPS cr@ps out often.

I am not excited at all about the product. Speed sensitive muting doesn't appeal to me...I suppose I just don't get it.

AirMoore, you are funny. I am sure there is a good reason why GPS isn't being used. I am sure it's the same exact reason that Escort hasn't had arrows and a real threat counter while V1 has had it for going on 20 years now.

So when is it going to be available? I want to order one.


Remember when the Iphone 4S was released and how "underwhelmed" people were about it. That is, until they got their hands on one to actually try it out. The sales records broke the records of the iPhone 4.


Truly Amazing what people complain about and what they feel they are entitled to!

I don't understand why people think savvy is the furthest ESP integration will go. The developments that OBD-II integration allows are pretty astounding.
