You sound like your from VR. Your exact defense is very specific to her character. I would almost certainly narrow your statement to you being very intimiate to VR in some form other than being a customer.

Your exact statement was very correct. I was asking a nice simple question and rudely cut off by Allice. It was very present she doesnt like to talk about the product she supports and works for. Which clearly states poor customer service? Are we still not clear on how poor of customer service this is in the eyes of the customer.

What is the consumer law #1 for a business owner? THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT !
That said I have fired people from my sales department who I absolutely could not see being rude after a few complaints and listening to their recorded conversations from my NICE server. I could hear they were up-beat and positive, but cut the customer off trying to hurry to the sale and be done with the call. That resulted in their termination.

You just CANNOT do that to the customer. I think Allice from her tone and character would be a great "Office" worker, but not on the phones. Her blunt to the point and rude tone makes a perfect number crunching paper reviewing employee. Keeping her on the phones to take orders is doing VR no good.

Let me state though. My first order of V1 was also by phone. I spoke to a male individual. He was ALL ABOUT RADAR, and V1. He was a perfect example of who should be taking those phone calls. In my opinion Hire a techy little teen ager. Teach them about Radar and the business, and V1's cliche in the market, and put himher on the phones. Then you would drastically UP the customer service via phone with just that one move, AND you would get cheap work!

I'm still going to order me a Valentine 1. Mike Valentine has all my respect because I know that man loves what he does, and loves his product, and I support his compassion 100%.
I am going to order a V1. Thats is without question. I will possibly order a V1 next week.

However :) it could have been 2 V1 sales if it werent for Allice. So now I'm trying out escorts products. Aside from the Arrows not there... I am very impressed!
Next monday I get my Android phone, and I go LIVE with my unit. This will be my finalized impression. If I do not like LIVE, and find it useful. I will simply return the unit and get another V1, but right now even without Live. The 9500ix is impressing me.

You are absolutely correct :). I could include myself for quite some time as a Cult member of the V1 technology LMAO.

Point number 2. Yup... I'm going to tuck tail and order a V1. Just vai the internet, and never again will I do it from phone lmao. Lesson learned.

#3. If Escort patents ANY TYPE OF ARROW system via phoneandroidiphone. V1 will never be in my vehicle again!

So for now... I want a V1 again so bad I am willing to over look poor customer service over the phone lmao. Plus.. at the same time.. I will own two of the most top rated detectors listed. So I can give a real review of each. Right now... 9500ix has memorized every false to and from work. When it goes off. It scares the **** out of me, and it's a cop 100%.

I get my Android phone and android service probably monday. So I will go LIVE possibly on Tuesday, and see what LIVE is all about!

A note to Mike Valentine: **I do miss those arrows OMG I miss them lmao ... , and I'm going to order a V1 despite Allice. However ;) Yah lost an extra sale to escort, because I was going to buy a V1 for my wife too!

Sorry, referring to Alice as a "mean lady" is like trying to sugar coat a turd.

What she is, is a rude, obnoxious, tactless old lady who has absolutely no business (or the skills) to work in customer service.

Well... I have made up my mind. In about 5 minutes I will be placing an order for Valentine One. Today I had a K band encounter with my 9500ix. Lets just say if I was doing my usual habbit of speeding. Ide have a little yellow paper in my wallet for court appearance for about 200$.

I drove around a whole lot today on purpose getting things done, and putting my 9500ix to the test. My problem is not one speed camera alert. Not one red light camera, and although some of the few falses in the deeper part of the city did get auto-locked out. For the price I paid for the device it simply does not meet my application.

Got damnit I am a V1 programmed junkie. I dont feel safe without Mikes detector. I drove around scared today because of the mentioned K alert. Let me explain.


After some really nice city alerts with O.K detection time I began to like how queit the 9500ix is, but the one thing remained questionable in my mind. How is it going to do on the highway?
So I purposely made long round about trips hoping to get some action. I didnt get much action at all and got tasks completed for the day.
On my way home with my wife, and kids. I was doing speed limit, and I had a rabbit in front of me about a one quarter mile out. I get a K alert coming around a bend. It goes FULL BLAST, and visually about 3/4mile out I see the sherrif. He was running Constant ON K band. It kept blasting full ramp as he passed me by, but I knew at that moment if I was speeding he would be citing me today.
So with my wife there, and me gulping down the decision to buy this 9500ix and explaining to my wife I'm going to order V1 tonight, and send this 9500ix back tomorrow I made up my mind. I'm going to replace it.
Thoughts came to mind from the years I owned V1. A state trooper shooting KA band when I was donig 120mph with my cousin following behind. Rule was I flash my tail lights three times we slow down.
I got a KA alert so got damn far away over a double hill with 2 miles of detection and we slowed down. That tropper with his cowboy hat detected a car at 120mph but heres three cars doing the speed limit. He turned on his cop lights hoping to make the guilty one pull over, but we didnt. Then the black sporty honda behind us got nailed. We still wonder to this day if it was for 120mph that we were doing lol.

I posted a greatest save ever here. That will never ever be forgotten. That came to mind today as well. That without the arrows, and the significant detection range "How would I ever get saved like that with my 9500ix" ??

Then the last thought I had about my second V1 which was when Version 1.8 came out with the "J" for junk signal. I remember my longest record detection ever on a highway stretch. I detected a K band cop on hwy 16 stretch 6 miles out. I remember driving forever and getting a brap every so often and then some brap brap brap brap.... thinking he was soon to become visual.. then every couple of seconds a brap brap brap.. then it ramped up with greater frequency... untill finally a white truck on the side of the road bogey locked... I had an audience of people with me on that trip just jaw dropped at the detection range and how long we drove before we seen that cop. I honestly dont think the 9500ix can do what it "Advertises" or boasts, but maybe it can. Just I trust Mikes hardware, and I dont have trust for Escorts, and so I'm tucking tail. Sucking up the bad V1 experience, and maybe just maybe tomorrow morning. I can get Mike Valentine on the phone. That would make me a V1 addict lmao ;)


So Mike Valentine. If your reading this. Your excellent product and the fact that from what I know. If I had spoke with you directly. I would have had 100% customer service from you as well as some good old radar talk :) that I just didnt get with Allice.

So ... Yup... Ordering V1 in about five minutes.

I got a habbit with V1 of never going less than 80mph anywhere I went. It was a habbit I was willing to pay citations for if I got busted lmao.

It's an hobby to me to speed, and detect police radar and slow down as a HA HA HA I seen you before you seen me cat and mouse game lmao. Some people like to gamble at casinos. I like to detect coppers and always going places fast. I will quickly give someone a ride to a store and back or give them a ride if it's going to possibly let them see V1 get some action in my vehicle.

I'm odd one might say I dunno.... I think you guys who stay on this forum probably understand.

I speed at most 10+ SPL. I have a 4 cylinder family car that barely makes it to 85mph lol. I want a great detector to avoid those "oops I accidently went over the speed limit because my little family car does not have cruise control” situations. I got a ticket for a dumb 11mph over the speed limit and I am great about never speeding.

I got pissed off at how I got treated, and I will be quick to express it so others in this world know what they are in for. NEVER CALL VR. Just order via their online form, and be done with it.
Simple! Quick, and avoids their weak point which is their customer servicephone reps.
On my drive to return the 9500ix, and going to the UPS store. Sending back a 500$ refunded item was as easy as buying it via escorts great customer service. How more simple can I say this. That was above exceptional customer service. Usually getting your money back is the hardest part!

Maybe you folks dont know anything about Texas. It is VERY VERY COMMON to see a big lifted truck with an AR-15, Shotgun, Deer rifle all racked inside the cab visible from the back window.

This is no joke. This is an every day common occurance. Just because it's an AR-15 it's no different than the Remington 700. Racked on the back of the truck. .. YOUR RIGHT lmao... I'm a V1 guy... I dont think nothing defeats it, and FINALLY I could afford to see what the escort product is all about, and I just absolutely dont feel safe, or comfortible with it.

Mike Valentines engineering and genius product makes me feel more safe speeding. I honestly felt like I'm going to get busted speeding with this 9500ix... I never felt like that with V1.

I got a habbit with V1 of never going less than 80mph anywhere I went. It was a habbit I was willing to pay citations for if I got busted lmao.

It's an addiction to me to speed, and detect police radar and slow down as a HA HA HA I seen you before you seen me cat and mouse game lmao. Some people like to gamble at casinos. I like to detect coppers and always going places fast. I will quickly give someone a ride to a store and back or give them a ride if it's going to possibly let them see V1 get some action in my vehicle.

I'm odd one might say I dunno.... I think you guys who stay on this forum probably understand.

I dont know where your getting that statement, but I would assume this is when the radar transceiver has sent a ping to an object, and obtained the distance, and speed of that said object. In V1... not being Mike V, or any of you guys, but I am assuming this is when the unit get's a "FULL RAMP" .. e.g the horn is recieving maximum waves entering the reciever to a degree the central processing unit sends a full audio binary code to the on-board digital amplification unit to output a solid tone sound from the speaker? This is when the unit and it's source code that analyzes the data of the in-coming signal has logically concluded with it's algorithms that the target source has obtained the victim vehicles speed. E.g A LOCK ON aka Bogey Lock?

Please correct me if I am wrong. I am very open to constructive criticism, and education.


Regarding the mean lady. Yeah she was mean. Mainly "To the point and didnt want to talk", and "Quick to cut someone off, and talk condasending to them". She didnt speak condesending to me, but cut me off rudely. This was enough for me to explode internally, and finally try out an escort product.

I missed the arrows to much. Mostly.. I missed the detection RANGE of V1, AND the DETECTION OVER HILLS AND AROUND CURVES that V1 can do. I honestly dont think 9500ix holds up to the testing field reviews. I dont see how it can. I dont think it can personally. I think someones throwing a cash wad at the testers to "mark up" it's detection ratings. Otherwise I got a poor unit?

I have too many saves from V1, and they kept going to mind when 9500ix kept falling short of the glory for me.

To further agree with their statements aside of the blatant insults they made. I now, having tried escorts finest product. Will be exactly like every one of these people lashing out at me. I will be quick to tell someone else who might walk in the steps I took (Dont buy the escort 9500) if you have already owned a V1 your making a huge mistake. I would encourage them to stick to what they know works best. That is V1. I would also direct them to not call VR, and to simply order online.

Spoke with a pete from VR today who called to provide a tracking number.
It was nice to get a call as a follow up. + points towards VR.

I called back as the tracking number didnt quite yet register. I actually heard a lady with an up-beat tone answer the phone. BOY I wished I spoke with her the first time around. I asked to be xferred to pete.

I could only hope that the customer service experience for others is at the hands of these two more up-beat individuals. One bad phone call can make a person go else where ;). However a super great worlds best product can also make you over look bad customer service. LMAO

A class three license, a signature from your local cheif, and you can go outside your house on the ranch pond and spray fully auto all day without worry of going to jail. Use it for self defense. Use it for hunting lmao .. but a fully auto-matic 10-22 Ruger is $8,000. Because after I think it was 1976or 86 any fully auto fire-arm made before that time applies. No weapon after that date is allowed to be licensed.

Carrying around an AR15 in my car. I wasnt joking about ether lol. Because Texas Allows a folding stock. It will compactly fit in my car. If I get pulled over. 10-4 sir. You are correct. I am just up-front and brutally honest. My whole purpose for buying into another RD. Is I got a dumb ticket for speeding. I got a video on my phone of my speed ometer not working do to a failure of a speed sensor. I got a ticket as I was pacing a vehicle to work, and stayed with him perfect. Why heshe didnt get the ticket and I did is why I am buying another RD.
The only time I need to speed is on the rare occassions my kids bus comes late causing me to be late for work. So a +10 SPL helps me make up a little bit of time as I drive about 55miles to work.

It's simple really. I got mad at the V1 lady cutting me off when I spoke. I got so mad at that rudeness I bougth escort plus part of me wanted to see what this escort is really about. Because the two V1's I owned I hated seeing escort users talk their smoke about how V1 didnt detect or falses allot etc.. Well let me tell you folks what I found about escort for the time I owned it.

Sounded like some falses were blocked out in the newest release. Also some "Tightening" up with the software was done from what I have read. From a software programmers stand point. Some "LITTLE" nit-picky software changes and tweaks can make a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE on the OUTPUT of your program or to the USER.

V1 has already made it's life long impression in me with my greatest save story ever.
Thats back when in my early 20's V1 saved me from a rear detection copper. Cops are now driving in under cover everything from SUV's to Mustangs to Dodge Chargers. I didnt like the 9500 brappin and not knowing if it was a un-marked copper behind me, in front of me, or incoming from the opposite lane. I look forward to the arrows once again!

The wife wants a V1 too. So I'm going to buy another one in two weeks. This sunday I pick up an M47 blinder from Austin Texas. I look forward to the long trip using V1.

Bad customer service experience, but such a great detector. So great. Made me forget about my bad CS experience lol.
I got Videos coming as bogeys are found. I havent got lucky for you guys yet in two days. No real good bogey encounters!
I even went on a bogey hunting expedition killing 20$ in gas trying to capture more videos with my HD video camera android phone.

Like suppressors and other NFA items, fully automatic firearms are not illegal to own/possess on the federal level. Some states do have restrictions on them for individual ownership. Also for the "just like a hand gun" not all states have handgun registration.

Zr1 your absolutely right, and an individual in Texas so long as the meet the criterion can apply for a class 3 license to own a fully automatic firearm. To get the class 3 you must get your local cheif of police to sign off the afidavit for it which then gets submitted to the ATF and VOILA you are approved.

Thats the easy part!
The cheapest 10-22 ruger you can buy all day long at wal-mart for 90$ brand new for example in fully automatic costs 8,000$. The reason for high cost is no fire-arm made after 1976 (dont quote me on that date, but thats what I recall) can be modified to be fully automatic. Only those manufactured, or modified before that day are valid to own as an individual! So buying a tommy gun made before 1976 that was fully automatic even if you have a class 3 license may cost you upwards to $45-60,000.

This is in Texas mind you. I dont know about other states, but we have less strict gun laws!
